Hdin and smiter in one?

Somewhere or someone has told me its possible! I know exactly how to do a hdin,since I've had like 3 of them. So, there is no question . However, how would I make him to be a smiter too? I know that I place a point in Smite,and switch some gear off,but is that it?

what items would I have to switch off?
as I remember it'd be, Dracul's..Gorerider..Grief , is that it?

Yes, that's it. Maxing holy shield does a lot for your smite damage. Those three items you listed are fine.

Grief takes a bit too much extra CB gear as well as lifetap ctc effect to be made effective to me. I use last wish with a very random 9% OW crafted belt(dracs work too). CB and OW will stop reg and bring them down to critical health, then hammer away the last bit since smite damage will be too low and CB is not as useful. You could also prebuff fade with LW but it doesn't take long to trigger by itself when your fighting in UT. I assume this is for ubers and not pvp, if pvp grief would be better with no extra change from hdin gear.

I've got Guillam's Face all set now.How about shield? HOZ stays?
Sweetalmonds, Last Wish may be better,but I don't have it yet. Grief is a Phase blade, and should wokr too, right?

any suggestion on tactics to take on the Ubers, prebuffing, getting hit by some monster or..any thing,really!
oh and First will be "west,south,..etc corner", If any one could put me images-would be even greater! But if not,that'd be cool toO!

IIRC, the IAS on Grief will make your smite faster. Since you don't have a maxed out Fanaticism aura, I think Grief will work better for you. For a paladin with many points in fanaticism, either Grief or LW will work just fine for ubers.

Since you already have Grief, you should use Grief, HoZ, Drac's, Goreriders, Guillame's. You can prebuff fade with Treachery if you need more resists. If your belt is negotiable, use String of Ears or Verdungo's Hearty Cord for the damage reduction.
