    HC Fishymancer question (merc related)

Normally, for a fishymancer, i've always gone with a Act2 NM Might merc.

    I've never played HC before.

I actually HAVE my Haseen geared out, but I was flipping through http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=580 and it said that because I was in Hardcore, I should either be using a Defiance or Holyfreeze merc.

Any opinions? I understand the logic behind Holy Freeze and Defiance and why they would be good in hardcore, but I haven't seem to have much trouble so far with Might.. i just stand back and let my skeletons swarm.

    Thanks in advance.

Defiance is useless, Holy Freeze is actually good idea freezing mobs so skellies get less hits and making more dmg but.. im still up for Might. Just my opinion

Contrary to what everyone else is saying I'm of the opinion that the Might Merc is the best way to go... but hey that's just me. ;)

    Duly noted. Might merc gogo.

A friend of mine lent me an Insight he had laying around on an alt, so now i'm Corpse exploding with ease. Working my way through act 5 (got rushed to NM Diablo, but he's not on atm so i'm going back and doing the quests)

Bit of a question.. Larzuk's socket quest.. Is there an specific item i should be saving that for? And what about the other item-changing quests?

And how hard will Nih be for me?

The Larzuk quest can be used for whatever. Since you said you had a friend rush you, I assume it can be done again, and going from act 1 normal to act 5 normal Shenk isn't that hard to get another socket quest. So use it however you want.

The personalize quest is just used for the lulz.

Nihlathak, well, unless you know what you are doing, be careful of him. The CE can hurt you hard and fast, and the snakes will tear through your army with super ease if they get hit with the bugged poison cloud. However, doing Nihlathak on a summoner can be nice, since you can run close, Attract one of the monsters, Amp everything else, wait for one to die, and CE chain till there is nothing left. If you got a nice range, you tend to get Nihlathak during the midst of 20+ CE's. Just don't let him CE you first.
