HC: Best two person team?

Can some people list some safe builds in hc that will work off each other? I'm gonna play some HCL with a friend and I thought I'd ask here.

Balanced team too. IE: No hammerdin/barb teams, etc.

2 bowazons(2 merc and 2 valkiries tanking) - lots of arrows - lots of fun
Fana Pally / Summon Necro - obvious reasons
Fana pally + melee barb(BO) / werewolf(oak sage)
Blizzard Sorc + anything that kills cold immunes :D

There's so many possibilities with 2 players...

Edit: Good luck young padwan. May the Force be with you!
(can't forget that!)

All in all, I think I'd combine a CS/LF Amazon with an elemental sorc -either fire or cold. Plan to max out Valkyrie on the zon so you have three tanks - a luxury that Sorcs are not used to having.

Your biggest problem will probably be Normal Duriel.

I was also going to say CS / LF Zon and blizz sorc but just because it sounded good to me, glad to see others think so too.

As for Normal Duriel, I haven't done tons of chars but my CS / LF zons (1 SC, 1 HC) are my only chars that havn't died on normal Duriel, and the HC was on P8, opps.

Ultimately, there are lots of good skill set that work well together, you really do have alot more freedom with two people so its tough to limit it. I would have the more picky person select a build and the other simply choose a good companion.

Conviction + Lightning Fury
That's not a balanced team, the zon can clear an entire room in the time it takes for the pally to get off one FoH or Vengeance attack. My vote's for a strafe/multi dexazon along with a summon necro.

How about a Conc zealot with a Strafezon? The zealot won't miss the faster attack because of the artillery support, and both will be able to hold their own. Plus, its original. Heck, Id kind of like to do this with someone...

Lightning trapper(friend) and Summoner(me) is what I went with. This way we have lots of tanks and the traps will shoot from behind the skellies. We will be safe because of CoS and MB. :)

Enchantress w/ Passion Phase and Might merc
Fanazealot w/ Crescent Moon Phase, Exile Shield, and Holy Freeze merc

Might
Defiance
Fanatacism
Enchant (double synergized on Enchantress)
Holy Freeze chilling effect
ctc Static Field
ctc Life Tap
25% chance to flee from Enchantress...straight toward Zealot!

...and of course, the unholy power of ZEAL!!!

For kicks - make a Inferno sorc + Arctic blast/hurricane druid. Twin jets of death. Even with the bug inferno isn't that bad.

EDIT: Oh, it's HC? I had a HC inferno sorc. Was doing really well, but I left it a little too late to turn and run.

Depends on the items you have available. If you've got nothing the list of good and equally strong builds is shorter. Personally I think pretty much any physical damage character would team up well with a skelliemancer. Throwbarb, Strafe/MSzon, etc. That's what I'd do if I wanted to go for maximum safetey while having 2 useful characters.

i like to have 1 elemental dmg dealing char and on hurty melee char. (barb+sorc, wolf+sorc). and the cold/freeze provided by sorc serves the baddies to the muscly boy in silver plates!

going with 2 characters mutually benefiting some skills is also a good idea. (eg. conviction pally/sorc/poison necro/lord of magi, enchantress+melee). just make

sure you have a solution for immunes (2 or 3 types of dmg), and 1 ranged + 1 tank is very useful.

That looks like a nice team, and it doesn't matter if you twink or not.

Trapper + Summoner tends to be the team of choice for the HC forum when going untwinked.

It's a good combination, though the summoner might complain about Death Sentry at times :p

Make sure the Summoner gets Lower resistance... And prefer for hell in Hell Maggot Lair until the first critter falls :)

Most of the gear you need can be shop bought (+3 trap claws... decent Necro Wand).

There's tons of different options though.

What about two sorcs, each specialized in one element, and both having the third element as second choice.

Two pallies is two auras, also nice I think.

Or two zons, one bow, and one javelin, and two valks and images.

A were and an elemental druid can be another option.

Two barbs, one singer or thrower, the other with big hurty weapons.

Two sins, a trapper and a ninja.

Two necros, a poison/bone, the other summoner/curser.

As you can see, I like the idea of both being from the same class.

I like the idea of two sorcs as well, one lightning, one cold. Together you should be filling the screen with orbs/bolts and you can both have some points into fire as backups. Might be a bit hard going untwinked hardcore though.

I like the enchantress/avenger combo too. One gets more damage, the other gets more ar.

Blizzard Sorc + Chain Lightning Sorc.

Skellimancer + Strafer.

Frenzy Barb + Zealot

Tesladin + Frostalot

Feral Claws WB + Tesladin

...

Avenger ans fire sorc?
Pure cold and pure fire sorc?
FA zon and zerker?
Paris hilton and angelina jolie?
So many options...

conviction Paladin using vengence/ any two tree sorc

conviction/conversion paladin / Magi Barb :D

It really depends on your play style and who you are playing with. FB and I have played with really wacky builds that work very slowly but they were quite fun to play and may have been the best gaming I have seen in a long while. Are they the best for the game? no, but they were really fun none the less.
