Haven't played since fall of 2012 but want to start again...what do I need to know?

Hey guys and gals,

So, like the title says, I haven't played D3 since the fall of 2012. I beat the game with my DH on Inferno and then started up a Poison Dart WD that I never finished. Just sort of lost interest in the game and was a bit bummed that it didn't have the same spark for me that D2 did.

With that said, I've been thinking about starting up again and realize that a lot has probably changed since then. I don't expect to know every little detail but am more concerned with the bigger changes. I heard drops are different now. I also heard the AH has been eliminated. I'm sure a lot of the characters have been nerfed/buffed (heard DH's got nerfed hard). What are some of the big changes that I should know about? Any major changes that will affect playstyle and farming? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the tips Ivan. Like I mentioned Steve, haven't played so it's just what I heard. No idea if it's true or not. Similar question though, how do all the different characters stack up now? Any strong ones? Any particularly weak ones?

Barbs are kind of clunky. Demon Hunters are actually legit now (and are offering Barbs a salt shaker). Wizards are quite strong, same for Witch Doctors, I'm still researching Monk but they seem fine.

Monk can definitely be very strong. My friend plays Monk, and he can do Torment 4 without dying, or really having any difficulty. I heard that he could do Torment 5 with a friend, albeit with a decent amount of deaths, but the point is still the same: Monks are quite viable. Even the Barb should still be viable: my other friends play Barb, and they can all do T3 at least.
