have OW and poison become BM in duel games?

well my kingslayer/duress/draculs barb with 4x100pdsc is getting
called "lame" "noob" "nap" etc. in every duel game i join now. does anyone else have a dueller based on OW and get this treatment or is it just me? i even switch to BOTD and enigma and i STILL get the "lamer" type comments because they get owned by 400 poison :scratch: . my friend with a venom/ow/ww sin gets the same treatment also even though he loses a lot of the time with it.

i think it's kinda weak if a character who is wearing 20/60 rends and a 415/15 botd ba (basically all perfect gear) can't withstand 400 poison and 40% OW from me when i wear my pretty much inferior gear...

u do a lot more dmg with ow than with psn but they still say "nice psn"

If there is one thing I know: When they are dead on the floor, they are dead on the floor. Period. Anything else after that has no meaning. Saves you alot of agnoy of worrying over what they say.

hehe no matter who she kills, my wwsin always gets "nice poison noob" in public games.But i stopped caring,its not nearly as annoying as : TELE PLZ or TP PLZ

In pubby duels anything goes thats why I think they are so interesting, I like the gladiator feel to it. Many people says the same crap to me, poison is unfair and you only win because you got poison etc. Use antidotes you dumb*** Yesterday I duelled a Foh (one of the builds I hate the most) then his friend shows up a lvl 90 Winddruid with doom and other nice stuff, then I kill him 3 times in a row, then he says i only win because I use poison..... I will continue stacking pdmg and OW if ppl don't like that go duel in a liga or private game.

meh, i could careless if poison is bm or not anymore its easy to defend against, stacked resist like anything carrionwind/drink antidotes during/before/after duels SandTreks.

@RTB: Did you take me as saying 'poison works around pvp penalty'?-it doesnt-I know posion from skill/wep doesnt, I said charms,poison from charms is bugged & does more damage than it is supposed to do,I have read a few posts on it somewhere & 'working around pvp reduction' is the likely explanation given most of the time.

One more here^^.How do you explain the 400 poison sans ow being the cause for owning?

Will the stat goblin on steroids by caring enough to hunt for & provide links on tests on poison charms in pvp? I'd be grateful.Good thing you pointed that out, since I just accepted that as the most likely reason.

what happens when someone gets 10x313 pdsc then? i think if you can't defend against 400 poison damage you just suck at pvp, but that's just my personal opinion. these people were pulling out stuff like irathas amu/death gloves to try to combat it, then they decided to say that i was lame because i used draculs.

tbh this barb who was whining the most probably didn't even have maxed resists. he was wearing the typical arreats/enigma/botd/beast/gores/rends/verdungo combo so i really doubt he had maxed out res. he had all perfect gear (totally perfect) but i still doubt he had resists amxed out.

My comment was general-'poison from charms is considered bm' which is something that is accepted in most dueling circles I dunno about pubbies. I didnt notice that you had 400psn until RTB's post.I dont see the reason for getting emotional.Besides why open a thread & ask the question if you dont like some of the answers you'd probably receive?

Similary,this question was for RTB,as I am not quite sure why psn from charms does more dmg than it is supposed to do.

just very VERY surprised that you agree with the kind of people who act like idiots in public duels over 400 poison.

i personally don't think it's bugged, i tested it out a couple of times and asked a friend to use antidotes as prebuff and nothing out of the ordinary happened.

No point arguing,if you bend my statements.I said what is simply the norm-poison from charms is considered bm & it isnt allowed in most dueling circles-check the clan honor guild,Moreover- no serious bvber would duel you if you got poison charms.Yes 400 poison isnt much so I am amazed at those players' reactions-once again my comment was general on poison charm use.I just read the title & answered your question which fyi reads-'Have ow & poison become bm' I answered that question & its surprising how you took that as my concurrence with those who call you names.

IMO a barb with poison charms is bm, ow is not bm.

The problem is that only a couple poison charms make a rather big difference. Even if they only add up to 400 damage, thats still a decent amount, and you can't afford to use poison resist gear against a barb, so you basically have to take a lot of damage from the poison.

If a barb uses 4 X 290s, he will have a HUGE advantage in melee duels, since he sacrafices next to nothing and makes the opponent choose whether to take either a ton of poison dmg or use poison res gear and sacrafice a lot of other important things vs a barb.

Well, poison is bm, but if you really want to use it I would go for 4 X 290s instead of 100/20s they will make a bigger difference.

A barb with 4 poison scs is VERY hard to defend against. A barb with 20-30 poison scs is very easy to defend against. You can't afford to use poison resist gear against a barb with only 4 charms, so you have to suck it up and take massive poison dmg.
