Has anyone successfully cleared uber trist/gathered keys with this cheap setup?

Guill's Helmet
Stealth Armor (probably a mage plate)
-> Treachery for +resist buffs
LoH / TGods / Gore Riders
Raven & +Str/etc ring
+Skills/+Str Amulet
Heaven's Light (filled with Shaels or whatever hits the fastest Smite BP) + Elite Paladin Shield Spirit
Life Tap Wand + whatever on Switch
No charms except +Str/misc resists

1 Holy Bolt
20 Hammers
20 Conc
20 Blessed Aim
20 Vigor
1 Smite/Charge/Holy Shield
1 Prayer/Defiance/Cleanse/Redemption
1 Salvation

Build should be done around 76ish. Level up to maybe 85 and dump the rest into Resist lightning giving us level 10 (90% Resist lightning with TGods)

Anya = +30 Resist All
Smoke = +50 Resist All
Treachery = +Unknown Resist All
Misc Crappy Charms/Gear = ~20-30 Resist all
Paladin Spirit = +60 Resist All

This should give us:
50 Resist All in Hell without Treachery.
~83% Crushing Blow (maybe +10% on 20% IAS+Blood gloves later)
Max/Near Max Smite BP without Fanat.
Slap on Salvation to counter Uber Meph's Conviction.

Stats:
Base Str
Enough dex for max block with Holy Shield
Rest Vit

Holy Freeze Merc with Insight / Gaze / Gris's Armor

Skills/Stats should be setup to allow you to MF with Enigma/MF gear later on without having to re-do the char. Thoughts?

Considering you are going cheap, think about stuffing an elite pally shield with pdiamonds for res rather than using a spirit which doesn't help all too much. Kill off your merc before you do go into trist, they just cause problems. Try to get some dracs, swapping to your wand back and forth in the middle is a pain, use the wand to get tap on meph right at the start and rely on dracs to proc tap the rest of the time.

Yeah that works too. I think the hard part is getting the shield itself. The runes for spirit are probably less trouble to get than the pdiamonds heh.

I was thinking Spirit because it sets us up nicely if/when you get Enigma (for the FCR), +skills are also handy, etc.. Wiz+Spirit+20% FCR ammy+Arachs = 125 FCR [9 frame teleport], or Wiz+Any Spirit for a 10 frame teleport if you wanted more MF.

Also in my OP I don't know why I wrote Stealth armor at the top, I meant Smoke.

Dracs would be nice yeah. Would the lack of IAS not be an issue for smite BPs? I don't really know the numbers. Never played a paladin before.

Shield________White crown shield with +43 all resists, socketed with 4 Pdiamonds, for a total of +119 to all resists

Charms________39 inventory slots are taken with a motley assembly of charms totaling 10% FR, 29% LR, 2 STR, 7 mana and 423 life. The 40th slot is empty
Stash_________A cube (holding the eye, brain and horn to open the portal to Uber Tristram), the second crown helm, the backup armor and four small life charms. Every other slot is filled with Fat Purples

i should point out, this gear was used, successfully, in hardcore.

Wow that is pretty gimped. Glad to see something like this is operational though.

I'm guessing this won't be a problem then with the gear listed above.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you are careful and have an idea on how to handle trist.
