Has anyone ever taken a stab at making a custom level or monsters?

It'd be nice if there were custom maps/levels/quests that could be made. Sure would spike my interest again.

I've been wanting such an idea implemented for awhile. You could take different tiles/walls etc. and put 'em in one big area. Then put all of the Brothers with huge HP in the final room and duke it out. I'd love it.

Its definitely something that D2 lacks...altho I dunno how applicable it is to rpgs. Mapmaking capability is one of the keys to success w/ games such as Unreal Tournament

There are several sites that host Mods for Diablo II. This one at PlanetDiablo is a good one. Another one, hosted at Phrozenkeep is also good. Both sites give tips on making your own Mods for the game as well. Keep in mind that most Mods are for Single Player only. Some however, like Eastern Sun, have thier own servers to play on.
