    Harmony? or Passion? howabout 'Help!'

My lvl 74 Strafeazon just got into hell difficult, and the ol' Witchwild string just ain't cutting it. It's time for Muzzy to get a new bow.

Regrettably, I'm unable to get a Windforce or a Faith, But these two runewords caught my eye...

    Passion (Dol Ort Eld Lem)

    +25% Increased Attack Speed
    +160-210% Enhanced Damage
50-80% Bonus To Attack Rating (varies)
    +75% Damage To Undead
+50 To Attack Rating Against Undead
    Adds 1-50 Lightning Damage
    +1 To Berserk
    +1 To Zeal
    Hit Blinds Target +10
Hit Causes Monster To Flee 25%
    75% Extra Gold From Monsters
Level 3 Heart of Wolverine (12 Charges)

Okay! We got some IAS, Some good damage mods, A nice AR jump, but I think it's 'Hit Blinds Target' and 'Hit Causes Monster To Flee 25%' that interests me. I've learned the usefulness of Dim Vision with the Necromancer, but does it port over well via a bow attack?
And monsters running away from me, well, I think that explains itself.
And, the Heart of the Wolverine poses some possibilites. It's only gonna give me 34% Damage and 39% AR, but those could make all the difference...

    Now, option numero 2...

    Harmony (Tir Ith Sol Ko)

Level 10 Vigor Aura When Equipped
    +200-275% Enhanced Damage (varies)
    +9 To Minimum Damage
    +9 To Maximum Damage
    Adds 55-160 Lightning Damage
    Adds 55-160 Fire Damage
    Adds 55-160 Cold Damage
    +2-6 To Valkyrie (varies)
    +10 To Dexterity
    Regenerate Mana 20%
+2 To Mana After Each Kill
    +2 To Light Radius
    Level 20 Revive (25 Charges)

    Level 10 Vigor... 36 FWR. That's nice.
Large damage bonus, but lack of AR hurts it, I think
Note the elemental damages it has...
My Valkyrie can ALWAYS use more points...
And level 20 revives... That has merit. Expensive merit, but merit none the less.

And the rest of the equipment is as follows:

    A +3 passive Circlet.
    'Treachery' Runeword on ancient plate.
    Cat's Eye Amulet
    Shoddy rings
    Sanders boots
    Clegaws pincer
    razortail

I'm aware the a lot can be improved, but I can only afford the bow right now.

So, what should it be? Harmory, or Passion? I'm torn between the two!

Any other advice you may have would be aprreciated.

If you really wanna choose between Passion and Harmony, I would say Harmony is the better one simply because it provides more damage. Try making it in a -10 WSM bow.

Passion's hit blind target and mosnters to flee are stylish but you dont really need them to survive.

Another cheap option is Eaglehorn, it's my bowazon's first companion through Hell .

    Eaglehorn, huh?

Also, I got a semi-good LF game (19 points, and then +4 from Titans)
Should I be blazing my way through with that?

I agree with Wmeredith and slightly prefer harmony:

    "Harmony"
-This is the best bow in the whole effing game if price is considered as a factor in any way, shape, or form.
-Combine this RW with Lionheart/Treachery/Duress for deadly-on-a-budget. You'll be surprised.

    "Passion"
-Actually pretty nice for the price.
-I haven't seen one of these in a long time, if ever.
-Hmmm... I might make one of these tonight...

Harmony is hardly a bow one wanna end up with as a main weapon but its an ideal switch weapon since it gives vigor for times when you wanna travel fast.
Revive sounds like a great thing, I mean what amazon doesnt wanna be a necro summoner and have 20 Moon lords as a meat shield? All fine and well but when the time comes to repair your harmony you will wake up to reality (costs about 400000 gold to repair 20 charges lol) and your amazon willl be bankrupt for all time to come.

Howdy all.. new here.. but some may know me from The Amazon Basin <waves hi>.

This is a great topic! I've just recently come back from a 3 year hiatus and am amazed at how much I have forgotten.

I just dinged lvl 39 tonite and I am struggling with my equip. setup. I'm untwinked as all of my old accounts went "poof" and it's been tough "finding" good equipment. The great thing is the it appears MF is still as fickle as ever <chuckles>.

I was able to put together enough runes for a "Edge" Razor Bow. Mana management is tough :( What should be my next bow? With my luck at drops (and the lottery) I'll be a pauper forever. My only hope at a decent bow is through the runewords.

Question for you vets, should "Harmony" be the next bow for me?

edit: I'm on Normal-level ladder currently.

@channimal: indeed harmony is your best bet. Alternatively, since you play online on ladder, you may gather 3 pgems and go to the trade forum and try to buy one of these bows: Goldstrike arch, Eaglehorn, Lycander's aim.

Thanks wind! I used to have an Eaglehorn back a few years ago. Good to hear they still are around. It's amazing how many people talk about having a Windforce. Back 4 years ago those things were mythical. I don't ever remember seeing one.

    Thanks for the response!

thats actually not that bad. If your playing through the game, just pick up all the big armors you find. They usually always net 35k. Pick up orbs and stuff too, stuff you know will be worth a lot, and 400k isn't that bad. I gather 400k mfing on my pally doing meph runs in like 15 minutes.
