Hardcore mode with mac

Hi,

Have a friend who wants to start playing diablo2. I know how to enable hardcore mode without completing normal baal for Pc, but how do you make this happen with a mac?

I thought you were always able to play HC, but that maybe just on Bnet. Are you saying this isn't possible for Single Player to play HC right away?

Correct, one needs to complete Normal in SC first before HC becomes available in SP mode. I'm not aware of any way to do this on a Mac, but then again I don't have a Mac to test on.

As far as I know it is not possible to create a HC character on a new account on b.net if you havent completed Normal SC?

So if anyone could help with the mac-issue it would be very appreciated.

I know nothing about mac, but quick google search gave me some results. Apperantly mac have an equivalent to windows registry in form of .plist files located in /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/

I'd imagine diablo would store the settings there, try to search those files for "AllowHardcore" and maybe you'll have some luck.

Just use atma to create a hardcore character. That should allow you to continuously create hardcore characters.

If needed try to find a computer with windows or a virtual machine with windows and create your character there. Then just copy paste it to the correct location.
