So, the past week, roughly, I've began realizing things aren't selling as fast/frequently on the GAH as they used to, for me at least. My friend said he experienced the same.
My theory was that ppl are pretty well satisfied w/ their gear, as I assume the type of players who rely on the AH are already well-geared now that the game is over a month old. He didn't have a theory for a few days.
Then he claimed to know the reason why. He said that since there's such a large amount of gold floating around that players already have, they dont feel the need to list items on the GAH and instead try to make some cash off the RMAH. And therefore, these same types of ppl are also buying off the RMAH as well and ignoring the GAH.
Now, I'm not sure how valid of a conclusion this is (or how he even came to it). I'm not an economics type of person. But has anyone else experienced this? more RMAH activity and/or less GAH activity? It seemed to just hit me like a ton of bricks this past week.
