Happy New Year, Jmervyn
Shalom in the home, bro.
*toots on his shofar*
Indeed. Is jmervyn Jewish by religion, Jewish by nationality, neither, or both?
Well, <I> want to know why Borty was so shortsighted as to not consider putting your question as a poll to this thread. Oh, and I'm not telling. :lipsrsealed:
On a more serious note, thanks, Borty! Then again, it is the festival of the Most Holy name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
If he were Jewish it would explain a lot.
Antisemitism FTW! But for those of you who have bothered to pay attention, you might recall that my religious credo is that of Christianity.
Maybe I'm a Zionist with Ethiopian genes and homosexual tendencies. It would certainly explain my assertions of being the Queen of Sheba when I've pointed out how stupid self-identification claims really are on the Internetz.
And only my hairdresser knows for sure. Oh, wasn't yestiddy also the 1st day of Ramadan?
Is a shofar that wildebeest horn looking thing? That's sweet.
Happy religion-related day to people of that particular faith.
Yes. Yes it is. And yes, I have one (just not a really good one like what's in the pic being played by the Masai guy.
Oh, and if you're at all interested in the influence of Judaism in Africa, there's plenty of good material out there. One of my favorites is The Sign and the Seal. Stuff that makes Dan Brown look like the n00b he is.
What, Islamists?
That was a real dick move.
You're not considering the source.
That would make it a penis move. Not big enough to be a dick
Circumsized or no?
Um, I meant his Zionism.
What did people think I meant? His iron grip on Hollywood? His successful comedy scriptwriting career? His wealthy dentist relatives?
You wouldn't have remembered my Zionism if I hadn't mentioned it, considering how mild & rare my expressions of it are. People just took note of how much it says about <you> as a person. Not that we're surprised or anything.
Now, Zionism definitely isn't my forté, and Judaism even less so, but Wikipedia (as a simple definition) describes Zionism as: "Zionism is an international political movement that supports a homeland for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel." Frankly mate, over the last four years your zeal for a strong Israeli nation and support for its actions has hardly seemed mild or rare. And is much more obvious than any ideas on the stupidity of 'self-identification on the internet' you may have professed.
Any evangelical Christian leanings could explain this, as would your being Jewish. Does saying 'ah, your being Jewish would explain your greater than the average support of Israel and its actions' even come close to making one anti-Semitic? Or is it just that you don't like Dondrei?
The river calls the ocean wet. The snow calls the ice cold. It's amazing how little resistance to the accusation that someone is an anti-Semite there is. Disapprove of Israels actions: anti-Semite, don't condemn Hamas enough: anti-Semite, can't stand Nigella Lawson's cooking: anti-Semite. Eventually just observing that the Jewish race exists will be grounds for that particular epithet, if it isn't already.
No, but his original remark is a fine example of what an anti-Semite would say. Besides, you think Donny even <comprehends> what others write? He's too busy spouting.
Guilty. I've never liked spam.
Uh, if you hadn't recalled, you Europeans seeking to correct that oversight was part of the process resulting in the state of Israel.
Come to think of it, it might also explain the martyrdom.
So, self-identification is stupid, rushing to judgment in the identification of others (on the basis of nine words no-less) isn't?
One is tempted to say that if you don't like spam internet forums perhaps aren't for you :wink3:.
I'm sure that I do recall that. I'm also sure that I recall the Nazi's saying a whole lot more that 'the Jews exist', mentions of their being 'sub-human' and other barbaric sentiment figures a lot. I am not however willing to make the illogical inference that observation of the existence of something alone implies criticism, disapproval or hate of it.
Yes, because everyone knows that us Brits are all filthy closet Nazis itching to have another go at exterminating Da Jooz.
I saw what Prince Harry was wearing to that costume party, you bastards.
He's got an excuse: generations of inbreeding.
