Hammerdin synergies don't work if from equipment.

HI all,
I got a hammerdin ( just like everyone) and recently replaced my vipermaji with grizwold's. I noticed that the +2 defensive doesn't apply the synergy from vigor to the hammer damage. I noticed that my Tearhaunch boots do nothing either to the hammer damage where the +skills in vigor should add to it?

I am wrong? is that an existing bug?

Synergies only get benefits from points placed directly into the skill... +skill equipment of any form does not effect synergies at all. If you manage to pull off a level 36 vigor, with 20 points placed in the skill, you'll still only recieve synergies from the 20 points placed in the skill, and not from the other 16 skill points you managed to pull off from +skill gear.

This is not a bug, this is the way it was meant to be... otherwise the hammerdin would go from way too overpowered, to ridiculously god-like.

Edit: This also applies for every class in the game.

ever heard of marrowalks?
it has a charged skill AND it grants synergies to another specific skill
if you can get something with a high lvl charged skill that ya don't use often or anytime then go for it :D

Whens the last time you saw charged skills of auras? Hammers syns are auras so you cant abuse that bug

Just to clarify, charged items add to synergies only if you haven't placed points into the synergy skill. I.e. don't put points into bone prison with Marrowwalks, as you will only get the synergy for however many points you put into it, not however many points you put into it +32. Hmm... That wasn't all that clear I guess.

It's not a bug, only the marrows are a bug. Charged items with no points in it are ment to add to synergies. Just not to lvl 33.
