Hammerdin Suggestions + questions Hi, I need Suggestions for what kind of gear to get for my hammerdin. I'm lvl 61 and I'm using aldurs rhythm and a bunch of rare items. Another question i have is how to get the massive amount of damage that most hammerdin's have... i've maxed out BH and one of the skills that adds damge... the other adding skill is at 14. And i've got +2 to all skills. I only do 1200 hammer dam. I'm always hearing about guys that do 15-30k... how is this possible? Thanks for the help guys.
Make sure you have maxed out these skills for high hammer damage: Blessed Hammer (obviously) Blessed Aim (synergy) Vigor (synergy) Concentration (an aura that when used will boost your hammer damage)
If he's maxed hammer and a synergy and at lvl 14 w/ the another synergy, he's clearly not running concentration as background aura. When you see paladins with 14k-ish hammers, they are typically using.... Heart of the Oak runeword +2 skills Engima runeword +2 skills +2 pally amulet +2 skills headgear Arachnids mesh belt +1 skills HOZ Shield +2 skills (+2 pally combat skills) SOJ's or BK Rings +2 skills Annihulis small charm +1 skills Pally Torch +3 skills 9 Pally Combat Skill Grand Charms w/o all this fancy stuff you could still attain 8k hammers. make a spirit shield, use a wizard spike, shako (fairly inexpensive), couple fcr rings, skin of the vipermagi and you should have no problem killing baddies in hell.
My 85 Hammerdin is using the majority of Sechler's list with the exception of the rings and charms (using Spirit until I get a Hoz) and my hammers do 8500 dmg and takes down just about everything quickly in hell. Of course, you do have the occasional Council Member who went to college and knows exactly where to stand in the hammer field so they will not get hit no matter how many times you reset!!!!

30k lol, no ill have to second last post, i seriously doubt any1 can achieve 30k hammers. For a high dmg build without hoz (going for 3-5 hrs these days on east), use +2 shako +2 pally ammy +2 enigma +2 dual soj +1 arach +2 spirit shield +3 hoto Theres +14 to all pally skills right there, throw on a anni, torch, and 7 gcs and you have +18 all pally skills and +25 combat skills. That gives decent hammer dmg, (10-12k?)
