Hammerdin questions

So ive been reading abit here and have some questions.

I recently made me a hammerdin after getting tired of my zerk barb and gotten to lvl 67

So far i have as far as equipment goes:
shako
enigma
wizardspike
herald of zakarum
string of ears
waterwalk
ravenfrost
bul khatos ring (yes i know its life leech but i just found it and dont own a soj so i guess 1 skill still is good)
frostmourne
anni charm

so as far as +skills im up to +8 to all and 10 in off auras but what ammount of +skills should i aim for and what in my gear should i exchange?
(im trying to get a torch and +combatskillers any specific ammount of +combatskiller charms ?)
And as for a build sofar ive maxed blessed hammer, concentration then ive placed like 4 in holy shield 6 in blessed aim ( since its before anything else i need and boosts hammer) and ive started to max vigor, does this seem right?

For gear, I'd suggest using using a heart of the oak flail instead of wizspike because you won't really need the extra resists wizspike gives you, especially when compared to the +3skills hoto will give you. Ravenfrosts isn't really that good for an enigma using hammerdin either sense frost doesn't affect cast speed. Switch it out for a fcr ring or a soj/bk.I'd also suggest switching frostburn gloves for magefists for faster cast rate.

So far your skills sound good, make sure you put one point in redemption for mana. I've found that grand charm skillers aren't really that important with hammerdins, with a torch and a similar setup to yours, my hammerdin does are 12 or 13k damage which is more than enough for anything Diablo can throw at you.

You also want to make sure you hit the 75 or 125 fcr breakpoint. I personally would not go below 75 fcr, this can be achieved with Hoto, mage fist/trangs and arachs, or hoto + perfect pally spirit. Having said that a hammerdin can finish the game untwinked and does not need all those high end runewords.

Yea about the hoto, ive found a flail to put it in but the nigma kinda cost me everything ive found from all runes of hellforge of 6 chars and found items :p but im aiming for it. I do need the wizardspike for resistances as it is now, ive only got like +10 on the plus side of resistances :) good to know about the ravenfrost so i can ditch it. I have one point in redemption but i found a 4 socks poleaxe and made insight for my merc wich kinda makes me able to spam hammers forever.

One more thing about the merc, since im using him for a manabattery should i go for a defensive one then and from wich difficulty? His eq is insight polearm shaftstop and andys visage so he stay alive

get def a2 nm merc.
since you have unlimited mana now bk>soj since you get more life.
Trnags are>any other glove for hammerdin , because not only do you get 20 fcr but also 30% cr.
Shako is your must-have hat.
If you do a lot of baal runs you need to use tgod instead of soe, dr is not really needed in pvm.

what do i do with skills now? ive maxed blessed aim, vigor, concentration and hammers plus i got like 3 or 4 in holy shield wich adds up to 16 after +skills should i start maxing this or is there anything else thats more usefull? I have 75% block ( just to get this 100% it is the tooltip when you press a then hjold your mouse over defence that should say 75% right? Last time i played no one was doing all of this with framerates and blocking and stuff its all new). Sorry to bother you with all the questions :p.

Oh and i found an arachnid mesh wich i replaced string with and i also found wartravellers wich i replaced waterwalk with. Is this the right choice? I got a pair of trang gloves also somewhere wich im thinking of swithcing magefists with, i get resistances but i loose 25% mana regen wich is handy for when my merc dies and cold isnt really that bad of an element like fire o lightning so im not sure on this one.

Well, you've maxed hammer and it's synergies so it doesn't really matter at this point. I'd suggest dumping the remaining points into holy shield. I also find putting a point into the salvation aura can be a nice party aura when you don't need to have concentration on.

Nice find on the archs, in my opinion it's the best caster belt there is and would definitely recommend using it. The +1skills, extra mana, and fcr are hard to pass up. It doesn't really matter too much between the different boots and the different gloves, just find the one that helps you out more. If you have good cold resist already go with magefists, if not go with trangs.

If you use your pally for mf then travs are the way to go, if he is a pvp pally high life wateralks(over 60 life) are ideal. The 25% mana regen on magefists was never really handy for me, but if you don't need the extra cold res than stick with mage's.
