Hammerdin Gear- Any room for improvement?

So I'm currently working out the second remake of my hammerdin, and I'm looking for input from all of you.

    My Gear:

    Helm: CoA, Ber + 15/-15
    Amulet: 2/20/18 Strength
    Weapon: WizSpike, 15/9 Dex Jewel
    Armor: MP Enigma
    Shield: 35/32 Res Spirit
    Gloves: Trang's
    Belt: Dungo's
    Rings: Raven/SoJ
    Boots: Waterwalks

Inventory: Torch, Anni, a couple of Pcomb Lifers, rest life/mana or life/res SCs

From my understanding, the important parameters are:

DR%, Resistance, Max Block, Life, Mana. (FCR and FHR as well, of course.)

    My DR is 23+15+8 = 46.
My resistance is ~330 to all.

So, are there any errors in my setup? Anything I'm missing? Perhaps there's a gear improvement I could make?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Huplet

Check to make sure that you have hit the 86 FHR breakpoint, if not perhaps swap out Waterwalks for Treks.

    I can't think of anything else..btw that is a really godly ammy (+2 paladin/20 FCR/18 strength, right?).

Looks really solid setup, ofc small changes could be made.

    Soj --> bk
    45 all res spirit

    He hits 86 fhr allready, 55 spirit + 30 coa + 10 verdu = 95.

I would stick with the SoJ. All BK adds is some none BOable life, which can be attained with some small charms (2x18life + BO will give you more than the life of a bk ring)

A SoJ adds mods that cannot be found on any charms

The extra mana is useless on a pvp hammerdin, your allready looking at like ~800 mana couple hundred more won't change a thing and you can always pot mana.

You can't really compare it to the scs, you will be using the life scs anyway, bk just adds more life on top of them.

I can't even remember how many times the ~40 extra life have saved me.

    What about dual ravenfrost?

20 Dex means 20 more points spent in vitality, meaning much more life than any ring. Of course, I guess the best option may be a FCR/Dex/40 Life ring.

Thanks for all of your input.

    Going to guess pvp..
I would use wisp for the oak. Gogo bm!! If not bming, stick with bk ring. 40? 50 life is still nice to have over mana when you can just use mana pots in gm.

If its pvm, wow overkill gear. =P

    It's pvp =)

No BM dueling from me, so it's between SoJ and BK, primarily.

I would switch wiz spike for a hoto any day, use a 10 fcr ring to hit 125 fcr. Make sure you have oak sage up at all times by recasting, you will find that it saves your life innumerable times. Not only does it boost your life but it will actually absorb a hammer or bone spirit that would otherwise have hit you.

And is bad mannered in every realm i know of.

The damage difference between hoto and wizzy is small, its like 1k at tops and you would lose 50 all resists. Wizzy is better all around weapon.

Re: Hammerdin Gear- Any room for improvement?

It's hardly 2k on a normal pvp hdin build.

    +1 skill coa
    +2 amu
    +2 eni
    +2 shield
    +2 rings
    +1 belt
    +1 anni
    +3 torch

    = 14 + skills

now if you replace wizzy with hoto, you need to get 10 fcr from somewhere, the easiest solution would be a ring. So you get +2 all skills from hoto since you lose 1 bk.

    Hammer damage with 14 + skills = 9516 - 9614
    Hammer damage with 16 + skills = 10621 - 10723
    Hammer damage with 17 + skills = 11192 - 11296

Even if you get the full +3 skills from hoto, i don't see the damage difference reaching 2k and in most cases you get only +2 skill from it.

These are just examples ofcourse, i guess the difference could be 2k in some situations.

So if a barbarian uses BO it is good manner but if you get BO from an item (=CTA) it is bad manner?

I'm not saying all windys that use oak are bad mannered, stop making stupid asumptions.
I said hdins that use oak charges are considered bm in most realms.
