Everyone's first game is a learning experience.

That's the way it goes.... only way to get better and seasoned so to speak...is to keep playing and learn from any mistakes you might make... then later on ou know what not to do...and you know what you might need to do in order to accomplish your role's objective, if any.

Well, I'm excited for your game! Also got an idea for a pretty awesome game, but It'll have to wait.

Mark Hoffman. Mafia member. Anti Town. Can communicate with the other mafia members during the night. Involves himself in even nights NKs. Shows up as Pro Town to an investigation.
Just noticed this, we really did get lucky with Laarz's investigation of Bad Ash, if it hadn't failed twice he would of been a confirmed townie!:whistling:

The gods of fate really did shine on us.

Yeah... Curse you fate gods!

It was ironic... the night before you lynched bad ash we talked about who would roleclaim what. I was going to claim dragomir's role and he was going to claim Laarz's because he could pull off cop easier. Didn't work quite like that...

You all got lucky with Laarz's fails, then he made a really hasty role claim that had holes in it. I really wasn't able to switch my vote to him, or I would've.

Heres how I think TC wanted it to go down:

I should've been the first mafia found/killed (I'm new, bound to make a mistake)
When my lynch takes out both me and Jigsaw, leaving Bad Ash to roam free. As a back-up to that we would've had Leo as Mafia too. It would've worked nicely that way...

Re: Halloween Saw themed Mafia game.

Thanks for another fun game TC!

There seemed to be some really fun roles, but I don't think a lot of the fun stuff happened. Leo didn't become mafia Don. The pro-town showing mafia member was never successfully investigated. Peter Straham was never lynched. Jeff Reinhart never killed a vote locker (that may have been by choice).

I'm curious what Adam Faulker's pictures would have shown, had that role stayed alive at the end.

The paranoid cop showing himself as pro-town was a nice touch. I'm not a fan of cops investigating themselves, ever, and I like how you deliberately altered their own result to make that a "wasted night."

The barkeep, as always, is a spectacular role.

What was the purpose of the even/odd hitmen? I gather it could have influenced the photographs shown.

I was right about Lynn Denlon being linked to another player. Howerver, I initially guess it was linked to Jigsaw. If Jigsaw died, I expected to be killed as well.

I was wondering if the Lynn Denlon role could have healed Art Blank, Eric Matthews, or Dr. Gordon. The wording of my role caused me to imply I could not help them, since harm had already come to them. Furthermore, Art and Eric's troubles seemed to be curable with time while Lynn Denlon had no association with Dr. Gordon in the movies, so I deemed a rescue to be improbable and just an attempt by mafia to get the real doc to come forward.

In the end, I think I roleclaimed at the right time. I felt the town had enough pieces to complete the puzzle. I knew my earlier questioning of Sathoris would make me a target to both townies looking for scum and mafia looking for power roles, so I wanted to get my information out in the open.

Plus, I felt that the mafia's target the next night would give a hint as to which role they feared most. I'm a bit surprised a doc was targeted, over what I consider to be much more powerful roles, but I guess TC's lists had much influence here.

Out of curiosity, what were the lists given to Amanda each night and what hints did you give on each role?

I'm certainly glad I claimed before I was killed. Two night kills would have caused lots of theorycrafting, on top of the cult idea. A husband/wife pair dying the same night kept scum hunting on track.

Eh, yeah. I sucked. Live and learn lol. It was fun though.
You didn't suck, you played pretty well for your first game. Your role claim was a bit over-elaborate, which made people suspect- keep things simple.

First game as an anti-town is a result, it's fun when you know who's mafia and watch the town flail around.

Playing town is a pain- you litteraly know nothing, fun to find out tho.
yeah, bro. you did really good, esp. when you compare yourself to me on my first game. LULZ.

congrats, newbie players. you're all vets now. ^_^ the first game has passed and you guys did good! ^_^ congrats!

Trionth you did fine man. We were screwed with a ridiculous amount of investigation roles and everyone roleclaiming. The mafia side is harder to play as a noob IMO and I think you did well.

Come to think of it, I never shared the origin of my avatar for this game:

I am also sorry that the fun roles didn't get to be played to their fullest. But during the hosting of so any games I've learnt that anything can happen, thus one shouldn't attach themselves to any role too much. Anyway, the amino plan was for me other balance the mafia team with my short and cryptic advice.
As for the lists, at first I had the idea of giving

trionth a target each night but then I realized it would not be fair, so I gave him the list of dragomir, ity and korial.
