Guillaumes or Andy's? (or other option?)

Guillaumes or Andy's? (or other option?)

I've got some more kicker questions...
If i wear fleshripper, dracs, up'd gores, duress, and guillaumes i have 90CB and over 100 OW. If I use andy's visage instead i'll lose FHR and 35 CB (which seems huge) but gain some ll, about 10 str, 20 ias, and 15 res all(and -15 fire res...its um'd).
The guides have said that guillaumes is really only suitable for mid level, but it seems to me that the CB alone makes it worth using. I could um it if necessary..can anyone give me some advice on which to use?
Also, with guillaumes I would be 6% FHR (1 jewel or shael) away from hitting the next bp.

Sorry this is so long, any advice is appreciated.

I guess you've never read my humble little guide. :innocent:

Um it, and the big G will last the whole game.

The only time I would consider Guillaume's Face to be "Mid level gear" is in the PvP realm. In PvM, it is the only helm I would consider for anything level 34+. With an Um that changes slightly, but the effect is the same, stick with Guillaume's. The ll is useless with Draculs, IAS won't be needed on Fleshripper (if my memory serves), and +skills are not really needed. All in all, you need the mods on Guillaume's, and not on Andy's.

That 6% FHR could be a simple 8% Large Charm if you wanted to go that route rather than the jewel/shael.

Also, you may want to at least try a Stormlash if you can get ahold of it. I hear that it does wonders with a Jah rune.

I guess I haven't read your guide...
Sorry about that. Anyway, as you can guess the one I read was probably for pvp..thanks a lot for the advice as it was very helpful. Stormlash does CB? I'll have too look it up, but I think if i can afford it I might ber the fleshripper for 100+ CB and 100+ OW...unless that's a bad idea.
Anyway, thanks

Stormlash has a tiny bit more CB, and it has Static Field. The static field quickly knocks down the rest of the pack to 50% while you finish one. It should be faily cheap, and it'll work better in every situation (except DClone or act bosses where Fleshripper is a hair better).

Ok, I still haven't gotten a stormlash, but other than that I think my kicksin has some pretty high-end decent gear. Im still finding it tough to kill monsters and I get demolished in pvp. I figure I'll show my setup and see if anyone's got some improvements I can make...

Guillaumes helm, duress body armor, verdungo belt, ss shield, up'd gores for boots, dracs for gloves, fleshripper, cats eye ammy, ravenfrost, dual leech ring.
In hell mode her stats are: all res - except for cold, 907 life, 2.7k def, Dtalon has 7k ar and .6k-1k damage.
Any input is appreciated...

Attack speed and death sentry are the only two things I can think of. It looks like you'll have absolutely no trouble staying alive. Are you using Fade or BoS? You'll need BoS to attack fast enough, and may need some additional IAS (I don't remember the numbers off the top of my head).

In PvP, expect to be demolished. This setup isn't PvP in the least.

What skills and charms do you use? I find that a few elemental charms help with the damage significantly (and 20 max lit charms are fairly cheap).

Right now I've got about 20+ skill points to use. I was thinking of maxing BoS (which i use over fade) for really fast speed (hitting and running), but it seems like maxing death sentry is the popular choice?
For charms I mostly use a few poison charms and some ar/max cuz i need the AR (max doesnt add to my damage right?). Even though the added damage from venom and charms etc doesnt show on the char screen, it is adding right?
I guess I mostly need to fill some sockets, use my skill points, and get some charms... thanks

You never need to max BoS on a kicker! Death Sentry will get you much further.

Before I get any further, I'll post a link to my guide. It's a bit older, and a (very) few things have changed. Ignore anything mentioned about PvP. Also, the IAS needed for attack speeds is wrong. Most of it is too high. See the sticky in this forum on attack speeds for more info.

For the other questions: Yes, the Venom/elemental damage is being added. Due to a display issue, it doesn't show.

Your poison charms are basically useless due to the way Venom works. Trade them out for something elemental if you can; most of them add less than 10 damage in a damage type you already have (venom).

For your sockets, the first things I would check are the Resists, then the FHR. Resists should be maxed (poison is the least important), FHR should be at 86. Once you get those, then everything else can be elemental damage (fire/lit/cold). Cheap 3/3 facets are a great source of elemental damage if you want to use the socket for that.

What would I do with 3/3 facets? you mean poison or something else? I have been away from the game for a while so I guess i missed a lot of stuff....I'm assuming facets work for charms in my inventory?

Mostly I was thinking of the direct elemental damage. Lightning facets have 1-74 damage apiece. Cold and fire are less, but still pack something. I don't know the pricing, but they should be fairly cheap with all the 5/5 hype.

The poison ones can work, but I wouldn't bother with them.
