Guide to statistics and strategies for Ubers?

I've read the general information guide about the Uber quest, but I'd like to know more about their exact stats and mods, and tose of their minions. For example, I hear that Sorcs are mostly useless in parts of the quest, and hammerdins are too. Why?

If someone can tell me what the ubers and their minions (and the Mini ubers and their minions as well) can and can't do, I can better prepare and make a decion of what kind of character to make against the Ubers.

Here's Uber Diablo's stats. You can find links to the other Ubers' stats on top of that same page.
Sorcs are useless in Trist due to the prescence of immunes. Hammerdins are useful as a support character, but are unable to solo the Ubers themselves (unless they switch to smite) due to the Ubers regenerating their life too fast, and also because casters like hammerdins cannot benefit from Life Tap and crushing blow, both are which are crucial.
For a char that can solo the place, look for kingdryland's guide in the paladin forum.

Can conviction break those immunes?
Not really, no. Even a -150% enemy resists conviction (working at -30% for immune creatures) would not be sufficient to break all of the immunes in all the 4 uber areas. The only ones that could be broken would be :

- Black Lancers in Matrons Den (Lightning immunity of 100)
- Sand Maggot in the Forgotten Sands (Fire immunity of 100)
- Arach in the Forgotten Sands (Lightning immunity of 120)
- Scarab in the Forgotten Sands (Fire Immunity of 100)
- Imp in the Furnace of Pain (Lightning Immunity of 115)
- Skeleton in Uber Trist (Lighting Immunity of 100)

Creatures who's immunity would not be broken

- Megademons in Uber Trist and Furnance of Pain (All immunity except physical of 145)
- Oblivion Knight in Furance of Pain (Cold Immunity of 145)
- Flesh Hunter in Matrons Den (Cold Immunity of 150)
- Dark Archer in Matrons Den (Cold Immunity of 140)
- Overseer in Furnace of Pain (Cold Immunity of 160)
- Fire Skeleton Mage in Uber Trist (Fire Immunity of 130)
- Lightning Skeleton Mage in Uber Trist (Lightning Immunity of 130)
- Cold Skeleton Mage in Uber Trist (Cold Immunity of 160)
- Vampire in Uber Trist (Cold Immunity of 135)

Of course, then there's the creatures that are not immune anyway, but that's a different story.

Wow thanks! See, THIS is the kind of stats I really like...how do you know all of this stuff? The stats on the Arreat summit don't really give you everything...most notably the stats on the magical attacks.

Anyhow, so I guess there's no real way for a non-melee sorc to solo these areas huh?

Nope. Immunes and the fact that she cannot benefit from Life Tap really puts a damper on any non-melee sorc trying to solo the place.

I usually just check the data files. The magical attacks could also be calculated through there as well, but it'd take alot longer, and as a result I'm wary about sitting down and doing all the creatures in all four areas. Likewise, what we have here in the data files might be slightly different to what Blizzard is actually using on the servers, though this is with more regards to the uber's themselves than anything else in the game.

I've got an idea...although I'm sure someone has tried it and failed. Does Cloak of shadows work on bosses? If so? I can just cast it from an item, and then stand back all day and cast Lightning until enemy is dead!

Boss monsters are immune to AI affecting curses or effects.
