    Hello All,

So as many of the long timers around here will know, I have a pretty big hurt stick, courtesy of a Zod find a very very long time ago and the generosity of an old HC master from the SPF, DarkChaos. He tossed me the weapon and jewels to make this:

    Code:
     Tomb Reaver
    Cryptic Axe
    Two Hand Damage: 222 - 1023
    Durability: 33 of 33
    Required Level: 84
    Required Strength: 155
    Required Dexterity: 93
    Fingerprint: 0x27093d39
    Item Level: **
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    Indestructible
    +90% Increased Attack Speed
    355% Enhanced Damage
    +157% Damage to Undead
+288 to Attack Rating against Undead
    All Resistances +49
    10% Reanimate as: Returned
    +12 Life after each Kill
50% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
    +4 to Light Radius
    Ethereal
    3 Sockets (3 used)
    Socketed: Ruby Jewel of Fervor
    Socketed: Ruby Jewel of Fervor
    Socketed: Zod Rune

    Ruby Jewel of Fervor
    Jewel
    Required Level: 58
    Fingerprint: 0x73e20013
    Item Level: **
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +15% Increased Attack Speed
    40% Enhanced Damage

    Ruby Jewel of Fervor
    Jewel
    Required Level: 58
    Fingerprint: 0x87c3766a
    Item Level: **
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    +15% Increased Attack Speed
    40% Enhanced Damage

    Zod Rune
    Required Level: 69
    Version: Expansion 1.10+
    Weapons: Indestructible
    Armor: Indestructible
    Shields: Indestructible

I've held on to this in my Gmail through a couple of restarts, and I think it's time to do it some justice. I decided that the best way to do that would be to make a HC Sept which features this item used to down Baal and earn the Guardian title.

Since the required level is so high, I want to make a build for each class which will use alternative 2 handers to level up and then swap to the Tomb for the Guardian kill.

I'm also thinking maybe I should take each to 90 with the weapon just to actually get more than a Baal run out of it. I think ultimately I also need to figure out a build that can try for 99 with it. Probably a Titan PDR build.

So ... I need to figure out a build for each class and some items to farm to keep it thematic. That's where I would appreciate some help with suggestions. What I've got so far:

    Amazon :
    Assassin :
Barbarian : WW (feels vanilla/lame but ... better ideas?)
Druid : Thinking a Wolf fury build
    Necromancer :
    Paladin :
Sorceress : 2H Enchantress (probably similar to NF's Ribcracker)

I'd appreciate ideas and suggestions, and I'll keep a progress log as I go about it :)

Very cool !!! I agree 100% that such a sick weapon should be put to good use.

As for build ideas, do you plan to respec, or stick to a build entirely? Because that obviously makes a big difference on what builds you can use.

Also ... such a great weapon, in HC ?! Don't die, please !!

Oh that's a hurty stick indeed. Just stay alive so we can have the benefit of following your journey, will be most interesting!

I don't have any good tips for most classes with 2-handers, but with such a hurty stick, for a barbarian I'd really want to see the damage of berserk ;)
Or even more interesting, don't know if it's feasible but with that weapon it would be cool to see if it's possible to do some kind of Leap-sniper :D Niche indeed though and I guess progressing would be hella slow.

    Amazon : Passivezon I guess?
    Assassin : Phoenix striker
    Barbarian : Leaper!
Druid : Thinking a Wolf fury build - has to be right? :p
Necromancer : Meleemancer with BA/CE utilities?
Paladin : Fanazealot... Or a dream based HS zealot with a faith merc and conviction.
Sorceress : 2H Enchantress (probably similar to NF's Ribcracker) - agreed

@Kitteh dream based would be cool, but would that be feasible when not able to have dual dreams due to shield v.s. tomby?

While we're on the subject of introducing other runewords into the mix, I'm thinking beast could spice things up nicely as well ;) For the passivezon, would dodge/avoid/evade work in bear form? Could be a way to get less passive if survivability is ok

Wolves and bears for everything. It is the best use of the massive on weapon IAS. Just make sure you get enough FHR.

    Amazon: Fuzzydodger
Assassin: Bearsin with Venom, fade and SM
    Barb: Wolfbarb
    Druid: Fury Wolf
Necro: Meleemancer. Actually probably the worst one in Bear Form. Shift to curse.
    Paladin: Fanatic Beardin
    Sorc: Bearchantress

Only 50% MF? Charsi that ol' stick!

In all honesty, that is one sexy weapon, good luck with your sept! I agree with maxicek that you should go full bear.

I really want it to be very thematic so I think I want to build them the way they will use the Tomb at the end.

I like the idea of a "Feral Tomb Guardian" sept a lot ... now I gotta figure out what most of those builds even are.

Wow that Tomb Reaver's has some history!

I've one of those, and have built two characters around it so far:
    Fuzzydodger and a Singer/Zerker.

Before I had that weapon ready, I made a Fire Claws Bear Druid with a regular one.

And from the top of my head I remembered that someone had built an Avenger around TR as well, which I found a neat idea. M/P/G collection has more Tomby builds, I'm sure, especially Shapeshifters.

Good luck with the Sept, and I'll be looking with interest and be ready to steal ideas for my Darkside of the Zod God Sept ;)
