Just made my 4th Guardian, and I loved every minute of this one :smiley:

This is probably the most fun build I have tried yet, pretty safe too and extremely powerful, especially in the earlier acts of Hell.

After finding a Windforce and a M'avinas Diadem I decided I had to put them to use. It is easily the most 'expensive' character I have made in HC, I would have been gutted to lose the equipment she is wearing, but fortunately it didn't happen - but it almost did about 4 times :laugh:

I accidently walked into range of a pack of LE Archers on p3 whilst levelling in the pits, 4 arrows hit me, each of them taking about 90-95% of my life, I managed to hit a Full Rejuv after each but another hit would have killed me!

She found some nice items on the way too, a Skullders in NM WSK and a Gladiator's Bane in the Crystalline Passage. However, she had her best find today on the Frozen Tundra - a Ghostflame from a random monster, not even a unique.

Normal and NM were p8 all the way, except for bosses and NM Ancients, and Hell was all done at p1, except for a few p3 experience runs in the pits.

Grats mate.

I am building a 'zon atm - SC - she's 34 atm, not sure whether to strafe or FA.

She's 'on hold' until my necro completes hell and I see what drops.

I have a WWS, which is supposed to be pretty good for a strafer - esp if you cube it up - but I am tempted by the Ice runeword.


Anyway - grats once again

Try a WWS, I used one from Act5 Normal to Act 5 NM, it is an excellent strafe weapon and was killing reasonable well even just before I switched to the WF. Upgraded it would be very powerful, nearly as powerful as the WF.

Don't hold your breath for the Ice runeword, it isn't worth the runes.

congrats.
from my experience in using both builds WWS doesn't even compare with WF. try to kill with an upped wws from act 2 hell on and you'll see what i mean.
i was tryed like you on my builds to max penetrate, but i think that is a waste of skill points.

Congrats with your She-Guardian. I've matted a bowazon too, so I'm familiar with the fun factor. Double congrats with not dying with a relatively fragile build. Guardians command respect, no matter what build.

Time to hit the Pit, I guess.

@AJK: Not sure what to do with her to be honest, pits are good but I also would like to try running the CS with her as I've never really done that before. It takes a bit longer than the pits but Diablo is at the end as an added bonus so the amount of items over time could be similar or better at the CS.

@Suiling: Glad you are enjoying it, it would just be gathering dust on my hard drive if I never sent it to you :smiley:

How did she fare against PI's? Did the Amplify Damage from Atma's Scarab go off often enough? (Decrep doesn't break most immunes, right?)
How problematic were the Ancients? Merc probably died, so that already cut your damage by about half, and she can't tank very well herself I take it.

Oh, and how was the Valk? Good tank or not?

Well, she wasn't too bad against PI's, amp broke all but about 2 monster's immunities, and it triggers quite often - 5% chance or 1 in 20, so about every 2 to 3 strafe cycles. Also, I crafted a nice Blood belt for the Open Wounds, this is what I used to kill the unbreakable PI's.

Ancients weren't too bad at all, at first they all targeted me so I couldn't do much but run around trying not to get killed, but I just set up a Decoy and ran to the bottom of the screen, at which point each Ancient picked a different target and I was free to fire away in complete safety, I just had to recast the decoy a few times. I kept my merc alive by feeding him Full rejuvs every so often - think I used about 3 or 4 max.

The lvl 20 Valk is a monster - especially with lvl 10 Decoy for synergy. She only died if she was poisoned or cursed with IM.

I only made this character because I found a WF :wink3:

Congrat on your Guardian and and I like the balance of her equipment. I plan to make a strafer with a magic Cruel Great Bow of Alacrity I found and the Atma's scarab was the money item to break most PIs, good to hear it works well.
