    guardian angel question...need answer badly

ok i'm on ladder so i'm using my godly (haha) guardian angel and found griswolds (hey i'm too poor to afford better armor) and was pondering which one to use because GA had the resistances. well when i took off my armor my resistances didn't change.

put armor in cube, resistances don't change. what's all that fumble jumble about 15 percent to resis this resis that? is mine defective or did i miss something??

It adds 15% to your maximum amount. It doesnt not give 15 points to each resist.

The Guardian Angel will increase maximum resistance to 90% (instead of the 75%). Therefore you need to reach 90% resistance (with other gear, charms, jewels, etc) to notice the difference. If you are checking in hell, go to nightmare or normal, and you will notice the differnce.

Usually the max resist you can have is 75%. But some items (Guardian Angel for example) allows you to have more than 75, the max possible goes up but you still need the resistances from items and charms to get there. Although you cant have more than 95% resist even if you have several items that give + to max resists.

if you have enough res to fill the 90%, guardian angel is the way to go, just in case you no longer want to fear stuff like souls ;)

OMG, you just made the biggest mistake in your Diablo lifetime :p Guardian Angel is godly compared to Griswold armor. In fact Griswold pretty much sucks. GA allows you to have 90 lightning resistance, that can safe your life in the Worldstone Keep many many times.

I'm betting that if you give that armor away, someone is going to crap his pants, and it is probably not going to be a poor newbie who gets it.

    And no one mentioned!

    +1 To Paladin Skills OMFG!

    30% Faster Blocking
    +20 Chance to Block %

    +15% Maximum Resistance To All

Skills addon means more defence, damage, everything
Blocking bonuses means less dex spent, or more life
And the other one was mentioned

There is no contest between the armors. Get 35K for the griz and slap that GA on man, its the way to go!

    (edit)
I think its anoying that peeps use the shaft, (not as much nowa' days) because of the DR, The GA is much better in a lot of cases, AND its more rare than the swill mesh. Try going against a sorc with full synergies with 75 rez all. it aint pretty.
    (/edit)
Just don't upgrade it. Helforge plate has a HUGE str req ;-/
