    This is a work that has been a long long project. I think I created this char over a year and a half ago. I got him to hell about 6 months ago and slowly but surely worked through it.

    This was a very boring character to play. I hate the fishymancer; soooo ridiculously boring. It was boring. Did I say that I was bored yet?

    Anyways, that was the main reason it took so long to finish. I had a few near death experiences, but nothing that bad. Overall I think that I like hardcore, but I like softcore more. I have another few chars in progress in hardcore and eventually I'll get around to finishing them. But, I'll probably have a few deaths before I get the next one because I started playing sorceresses, fewer tanks means more death and destruction for me.

    No really good finds aside from the reapers toll. I had decided to do a few pit runs when I first got to hell to find a better merc weapon. After the reaper dropped I just played through the game wit ought any more runs. I had a lot of mf, but despite that my drops were only mediocre, even with the mf I had.'

    Thanks for your guardian experience ... I think that I will attempt at least ONE HC character and guardian it ... just to say that I did and not look like a weenie for not at least trying once.

    Congrats on finishing him out. I'm surprised you didn't use amp dmg at all, I thought everyone uses it to boost skellie and CE dmg.

    Good point.

    Actually I did use amp damage but I kept it at level 1, should have listed that too. :badteeth: I would enter a room and cast dim vision. The huge radius got everyone both on and off the screen. Then I would cast amp damage on the few monsters I was attacking. Once the first few monsters died I spammed amp then corpse explosion.

    I should mention that this is the first time I really used any of the "defensive" curses on a regular basis. That was my favorite part of hardcore, learning to use some of the skills that I had no reason to use in softcore.

    Congrats :thumbsup:.

    Can you please describe a bit more your fights against hell act bosses, especially against Diablo? Did skeletons survive? I have now untwinked HC necro (Green with envy tourney) on NM and I'm curious how it is on hell, I never played this necro even on SC so I somehow can't imagine.

    And have you got any points in summon resist?

    Yea I had 1 hard point in summon resist.

    Hmm, the boss fights. The technique is pretty standard: cast gumby and decrepify and after that the bosses barely move and even if they take a while to kill, they don't really do much harm to you. Finding some urdars makes the fight much much faster. Their crushing blow really does a number on them.

    Hell diablo actually killed my army twice so I had to make a quick trip to act 2 to replenish my army. The palace cellar is a great place to find urdars. But you can stand far enough away and keep him slow enough that he's not a huge threat.

    For hell baal I started fighting him without urdars. Then he duplicated, so I went to act 2 again for urdars. When I came back the double was gone and he fell really quickly.
