Griffon for Bonemancer 125%fcr

im making a bonenecro for pvp and so far some of the guides ive read, no one mentioned of using Griffon to hit the 125% fcr.
Helm: Griffion (25% fcr)
Wep: Hoto (40%)
Gloves: Trangs (20%)
Rings: 2x fcr (20%)
Belt: Spider (20%)
Total= 125% EXACTLY

with this set up, youre allowed to use Homo, which IMO the BEST SHIELD for necro if you can reach 125% fcr, Darkforce is WAY OVERRATED. With the set up above, you wouldnt have to sacrifice so many +skills, res, stats, etc. Anyone agrees?

Darkforce ain't overrated. A good one (+3 pb) is way better against casters (provided you get enough resists from other sources, ofc) than homu, and if you want to block, use a stormy. With Darkforce you don't need to wear 2x fcr rings, allowind you to use sojs instead. With DF you can also switch the Griffon's for a +20%fc +2 nec skills +etc Circlet.

Griffon is a good and easy way for a nec to reach 125%, but it is in no way the best option. Still, I'd prolly pick it over a shako :p

In a sense you could switch out a fcr ring for an SOJ because of the extra 5% fcr, so it's really not too much less economical than a +2/20 nec circ if you look at it from that standpoint.

From the poster's standpoint switching out his ammy for a skill/fcr ammy would allow him to reach 125 a bit more gracefully ;)

from my standpoint, the reason why i think Griffon would be a good idea because you can have room to use items such as Mara, nice high block shield, etc. From what i've seen , nec circlet isnt that much better compared to Griffon, unless you have a really good one, like 2 skils, 20fastcast, all res, str, life,etc. but those are almost impossible to find if you decide to go legit. Really, using Darkforce is just the same as Griffon, the extra 5% from Dark force wont help, and switch one of the fcr with a soj would bring you back down to 120%, not enough.
What im saying is, sure the DF and Circlet would be a better combo, but only by a little, and their economically values are WAY WAY WAY more expensive.
Btw: How can you play with no block? DF gives absolutely 0 blocking, 1 charge = death...

Darkforce is overrated. Homunculus is just as good minus the cast rate. A potential one skill difference between Homunculus and Darkforce isn't that much of a difference. Yea, Darkforce gives a nice 30% FCR, but that's about all Darkforce does. Sure it allows you to wear SOJS or something else...but who said SOJS were better than very nice caster rings? I have two caster rings that are better than SOJS. Yea Darkforce is nice, but mainly for caster duels. What if you are dueling melees and casters? Do you really want to keep switching between a DF and a Stormshield? Darkforce has no block and no resistances and Stormshield lacks the +2 skills. Homunculus on the other hand is equiped with a +2 Necroskills, 40% all resistance and a 72% block percentage, even higher than a Stormshield and without a high strength requirement. Overall, I prefer a Homunculus over a Darkforce/Stormshield. Homunculus is like the combination of a Darkforce and a Stormshield!
