    Grief screen damage bug?

I just made my first Grief, it turned out a nice one - 386 dmg and I happily gave it to my zealot...and my screen damage went down from 3.7K average to 0,8K average. It definitely looks like I am killing faster with the Grief than the previous Oath, but this screen damage is driving me crazy. Is it supposed to be like that?

The +XXX damage on the Grief doesn't show up on the char display, but will be applied to monsters (and is boosted by ED%).

It's known ad the LSC - Lying Character Screen.

LCS adds +XXX damage on weapons to the total damage (after ed and such), not to the weapon damage. Ingame damage is 5-10 times higher.

No, the damage isn't just tacked on at the end. It's part of the weapon that doesn't get displayed.

See here for tests, and here for an explanation.

Sass is right. Also, if you want to see how much damage you're actually doing, you need to calculate it yourself when using 'Grief'.

    Re: Grief screen damage bug?

With the calculator, I figured that if I get Forti and Phoenix, I will do 15K average Zeal with:
    clvl93 might merc
    slvl25 fanat
    slvl25 zeal
    slvl25 sacrifice
    70-80% deadly strike,
But I could not figure where Decrepify gets in the calculations. Please help.

I'm not sure about the smite thing, but it does still add to WW.

    Re: Grief screen damage bug?

It isn't. Decrepify does not increase damage by itself - it just decreases physical resistance of a target. Decrepify actually doubles damage to a target with 50% initial dr, and triples to a target with 75% dr.

    Re: Grief screen damage bug?

I am pretty sure he is asking where does DR is taken into account when physical damage is dealt, not if it is taken into account on LCS.

After all physical damage is calculated, including deadly strike and crushing blow, the entire damage dealt would be (total calculated damage)*(100%-DR%)

So if your target has 50% DR, then every hit you do, including Deadly strike and CBs will do half damage. Decrepify modifies the % DR. So in hell, where most monsters would have 50% DR, Decrep changes that to 0% (since decrep has -50% DR).
