I've only recently reinstalled D2 and the Expansion and I'm over looking the Hardcore gameplay.

You folks seem pretty honest.. In the way that I'm looking for good games and such online. I can't play HC yet because I haven't beaten Act 5.. hell, I haven't even started an 'online' character yet.

I -am- kind of looking for where I can chat with a few of you players. I play on US-East.. and I'm on dial up .. >.> it lags here and there.. but I would try with it.. I don't mind it lol..

Hm... east huh? Ah well... I'm stuck in west. I'm doing the untwinked chicken-livered summoner. So far so good, in Act 4 and killed Izual to get those lovely +2 skill points. Got lost a bit and didn't find that waypoint, but had to quit due to time contraints.

Expect to see the DEEDS screen several times in the beginning if your not used to playing Hardcore... esp w/ lag. Not sure how your latency will be with dial-up, but as u stated - you're willing to give it a go. @ least that's a good attitude to start of with.

If ya go through the forums there are several ways of starting a HC char w/o going through the rigors of defeating Softcore in Normal 1st. :thumbsup:


I'm on East, my playing schedule is erratic. Once you create your online acct - if u want, ya can add me to your Friend List.

If your not familiar with it just type... /f a (acct name) f = short for friend / a = short for add.

u can also do /f help to get a list of what other commands are available.

Thanks for the warm welcome and sorry about posting in the trading.. LOL I was looking through google pages at the same time when I clicked "Hardcore" I thought I was going to the actual forums..

But!!

I'm truly curious about what it means to be on ladder or not do the ladder.. if there is any feed back for that..

And.. I'm not at home at the moment.. but I will definately add you guys to the friends.

You get access to new Rune Words and the ability to have the Dclone Spawn in your game . Not sure if the Ubers are ladder only as well . And you can up items with runes as well as the ability to cube runes up to a higher rune .
