Greetings

Hello everyone, I believe it would be no more than proper to commit my first-ever post here to an introduction, so here it goes.

I'm Andy, 19 years old (or young, depending on how you look at it), male and living in Belgium. English is a second language to me, whereas Dutch would be my mother tongue. I'm currently going through my third year at university, studying a major in history with a minor in archeology. Apart from those two subjects, my hobbies include reading, mountainbiking, going out (if you can call that a hobby  ), listening to music (Metallica, Amon Amarth, Laibach, Nightwish,...) and playing games during what little spare time I have left (amongst which LoD would take the most prominent place).

I started playing classic d2 in early 2005, but found myself quitting after a few mere months because I didn't have access to LoD back then :embarassed: . I finally got around to purchase it about a month ago, which tempted me to start playing again.

For some reason, I enjoy playing SP much more than MP. So far, my only character to have made it past normal difficulty is my level 60 ww barb, which currently resides in nm act 5. I haven't encountered any serious problems with him so far, not in the least because of the fantastic guides this site has to offer . I eventually hope on making him an IK barb, but I guess that won't be for some time to come  .

That about covers it, I guess. I hope I haven't been too much of a bore, and I'll be sure to enjoy my stay here!

Welcome.... -kicks shins- -run- =D

yea, enjoy your stay here =)...this place has a lot of nice guides... more or less I generally go with my own flow.. but the guides really help if ye don't have a clue as to what would be an easy/untwinky build.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry I wasn't here soon enough to get you some shin guards. Hope they don't hurt to bad. Read the stickies and watch out for the squid. I believe that you have earned a plethora of extra cookies from w_m's goodie basket. I don't believe that you left anything out.

Stop by the EMB and have a drink on me sometime.

Welcome St. Anger! It's always nice to see a new face.

I must say that you type english very well for a second language! I'm currently learning spanish and certianly could not introduce myself to a spanish forum with anything more useful then my name, age, where I live, and that I like playing video games. Nice work!

I was in Belgium in the spring, its a nice place! Perhaps a little flat for my liking though, there wouldn't be many places to go Snowboarding. I was in Bruges and Brussels while I was there. I liked Bruges more then Brussels but I saw a lot more of Bruges then I did of Brussels so that may have a lot to do with it.

One day I'm going to go back and show my girlfriend around... one day.

You guys sure go for the shins right away, don't you  . Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thanks for the healing, Suiling, and thank you for the compliment, hps. Personally I find Belgium rather flat as well, I'd much rather live in a hilly country/state such as Wales, but for the moment I'm a bit caught up in Belgium. We'll just have to see what the future has in store for me, I guess :prop: .

Welcome! Here's your goodie basket of baked goodness and squid relpeant. Don't mind the shin kickers, they mean well. And besides, you can take comfort in the fact that they will not be enjoying the cookie you will for such a lovly intro!

Do read the stickies stop by the EMB, home to 2 pools, a movie theater and every drink you could imagine.

Welcome!
Stop by the bar, have a drink on...wait, Fist is back! Ummm, then have one on Durf. Read some guides, have some fun, and be sure to note your favorite cheese.

I myself am on the path to archaeology, glad to see a fellow history enthusiast! What are you thinking of doing? I am hoping I can one day dig in the Northern Alaska/Aleutian Islands area, around the Bering Strait, to investigate early North Americans. Then again, I would first have to prove that they left anything there....
