Got you right where I want you: amusing Necromancer moments in the game

Wanted to share a moment of extreme amusement I had yesterday. I was in Nightmare in Act 3, I'm going after Meph. and I've literally got him right where I want him: right next to the portal, screaming and raging at me as I'm lobbing bone spear at him from the platform in the foreground. I'm laughing at the computer screen as I spend the next few minutes making his day hell. It was glorious!


Anybody else have a moment like this?

Just did a P3 Hell Baal run. I started on Baal with 13 skeles, 12 mages and a Crushflange IG - and ended with them all, too. Didn't lose one minion (plus I was one Tomb Reaver the richer). Heh.

Baal was so owned :grin: Sometimes he creates a right old fuss, other times he just sits there like a stuffed dummy. I sometimes wish he would try a little harder.

Defeated Hell Ancients today with first fishy a split second before dying from a charged bolt (group was toast by that time except for merc).

But we got 'em.

I got a level 91 pure summoner, with level 47 skelly + mage, my necro pretty much own everything.

Went into this game with 4 other level 50 / 60s titled “act 1 helpâ€, ran them through act 1 and 2 and was at act 3 trav, I ran to the centre of the map where there are the square platform bit but well out of range of the snake thing in the water bit, one of the sorc was still in town so we waited.

The wife called me over and had a chat for about 15 minute, all these time my char was literally away from keyboard, with all the skelly scattered around. When I got back to the game, every one left, I found the bodies of council members and their loot all around my troops, I realise the party have to draw them that far out for my skelly to handle them.

I had a look at the message log.

Last thing I said was: “come sorcâ€
The rest of the message goes:

“ necro comeâ€
xxx was slained by council member
yyy was slained by council member
xxx was slained by council member
…
…

“necrooooooooooooooooooooooooâ€
<more death>
“no necro no game ;(â€
<some people started leaving>
…
…
the game carried on with some hammerdin came into the game and took them all to act 5.

I got 3 dest keys from nilahtak. Just "omg lol wtf" 3 dest keys along with many dead bodies.

Well today I dueled; 3v3. My team was a Smiter (ok), hdin (nearly gg), and myself, a trang-ouls avatar necro. There's was 2 Bowa's and a hdin. Uh... ya here you go:

Fighting Norm Diablo, my minions were dropping at about the same rate as Diablo’s life. When he killed the last minion, he was at a thin sliver of life. My Rogue merc was still at about 50% life though so I though I’d just wait and see what happened. The merc got off 3 shots: the first connected, the second missed, and the third connected and finished him off.

So even though I might not have had him exactly where I wanted him throughout the entire fight, I had him where I wanted him at the end --- lying dead on the floor.

Ran Hell Cows a long time ago. CE makes them die really fast. Picked up a unique amulet, must have been my 100th one on that character so I didn't expect much. Turned out to be a 28 mara's. Highest one I've ever owned.

Also, soloing D-Clone without losing my merc and only losing 1-2 skeletons was hilarious too. Looking back, if I had switched to lifetap near the end, rather than staying with amp, it probably would have been flawless.
