Good question =>
Why MF with more people in the game?
ive never noticed when doing meph runs............
Monster drops include a probability of a "no drop", where no item drops at all for that roll. This "no drop" probability is decreased as the player count in the game increases.
So would it make sense to run bosses since more players only(?) affects this "no drop" chance?
The "no drop" probably tends to drop to around 0 when the player count equals 4, for act bosses. Remember though, that only other players who are in the same party as you and within two screens of the monsters death are classed as a full player. Otherwise, they're classed as half a player for purposes of calculating the no drop probability.
So, if you wanted to do solo Hell Meph runs in a pub game, you'd need 6 other players in the game to reach the player 4 drop of Meph, whereby the "no drop" probability would be 0 (6 other players * 0.5 = 3; 3 + yourself = 4).
Better off if the other players aren't partied with you though as that only increases the"having your gg drop snaffled %".:unimpressed:
