Good Norm/Nm Rusher?

Hey building a rusher to rush Nm/norm.

My skills will be

20 orb
20 Ice bolt
20 Tk
1 es
1-10(?) Tele
Rest cm

Gear
Wizzy
Whistans(p diamond)
10 fcr ring
Other random ring depending on what i can scounge up.
Stealth armour
Boots something with frw maybe?
Trang gloves
Random helm?
10fcr ammy

and a few res(wont need many) and fhr charms. To hit 75all res in nm and 45 fhr.

I will be hitting the 105 fcr breakpoint.

Stats
Str - Enough for items
Dex- max block
Vita- Rest
Energy- None

Merc
Insight
Other random helm and armour with leach.

Suggestions?

If you are not rushing hell then you dont need max block in my opinion.

If you build with more vit you will easily go through norm/nm with an es/orber. Those points of dex could go to energy/vit and help you survive not only against
things you can block but also against things you cant block.

i would just follow your original plan because eventually you may want to use that sork to rush hell too...either way will work for norm/nm, though.

Thanks,

I've also decided on a p'rubyd Peasnt crown.

With max block/v.s. Pure vita , At the moment im figuring out exact stats and how much life i willl have with block or without block, After BO.

But its a tad hard without definate gear.

Most opinions more then welcome :)

I would recommend a Vipermagi over stealth, more res, one skill and a tad more FCR. You lose the FHR, but its a bit easier to get FHR charms then Res charms in my opinion. Possibly socket with a Sheal to make it up.

Also, you could Sheal your Peasant Crown for 20 more FHR, then with one 5FHR SC, be at your desired BP. Thats what I did with mine. And just try to find some life SC's instead.

I say go max block, with Whistans, its easy enough anyways, and like already said, you may want to venture into hell with her one day, and then max block will really come in handy. However, since you are going to do ES, you may not want to Pdiamond it, with Res being less of an issue, and also maxed anyways, maybe an eld for even more blocking. Wizzy = 75, Viper ~30 then at least 2 anya quests will have you at max res I believe in NM, Hell's a different matter though.

Boots - Waterwalks if you can, plus 5 max fire res, dex for block, life, and FRW = Nice.

Lastly, with CM, most monsters in NM I don't think have too high of cold res, and the ones that do are unbreakable anyways. Aim for the standard level 17 for the -100 Res. You're looking at plus 2 at least if you go viper, so maybe 15 or so, then anything else maybe put in ES.

With pretty much the gear mentioned, with a few minor tweaks, you sorc could make it through hell if built right. If you're on USWest, let me know and I can show you my sorc if you want to help give you and idea. She's built like a tank, max block, max res(stacked a bit too) 76%ES, ~950 life, ~750 mana, and can laugh in the face of Mephy.

I hope that helps and ain't to jumbled, kept getting interupted while typing....

Thanks alot for that.

I'll try and get hands on Vipermagi. I was thinking of stealth for starters. As it would let me hit the fcr bp.

So do you mean try and get to lvl15cm before max Tk?

This will be easy if i just put one in tele and have insight which i am planning.

I'm on east hcl. But i started a West Sc L Char yesterday. Just for something to do.

It made perfect sense, Thanks again.

If you're building for normal/nightmare ONLY, you seriously don't need Telekinesis or energy shield.

Speeder base build:
20 orb
15-20 cm (much better placement of skills than ice bolt)
20 nova <-- I'd do this just for those irritating cold immune harpies that litter nm throne. Your damage will be leet pwn, because it's NM.
20 light mastery
If you're going with insight on the mercenary, 1 pt into teleport is enough.
HOWEVER. If you're planning on doing tons of NM baals, I'd say go 10-15 into teleport and stick a kelpie snare on merc for the 75% slow. Why? To prevent baal from teleporting around. Damn that's irritating.
Rest of it, I'd dump into either ice bolt or static field. What else are you going to do with the extra skill points?

FHR is really something I'd only worry about in hell. 1) nothing in NM does enough damage to warrant you going into hit recovery animation anyway, 2) if you're expecting to get BO'd, FHR becomes even more of a joke

Go max block; there's no reason not to. Life charms > the points sacrificed from vitality to get you max block with Whistan's guard (which is ridiculously low anyway). "Eld" it for even more block; you don't need that much resist in nightmare. Alternatively, splurge on the dex and get a 2x pdiamond moser's blessed circle; this will open up Wizardspike for Heart of the Oak and the l337 3 skills.

Equipmentwise

Vipermagi 30 + Wizardspike + 50 + Trang gloves (20) + 10fcr ring = 110 fcr
Plus Nightsmoke/Goldwrap, Whistans, Peasant crown or some decent rare or +3 cold circlet, some random +sorc or +3 cold amulet, and you're set.

Alternative to Whistan's; upgrade visceratuant with eld or allres jewel; EXCELLENT and often overlooked blocking sorc shield. Forget about the dex tradeoff; you don't need so much life in nightmare.

Thanks man,

I'll try out that build on SC. Hoto is out of league :p. So its wizzy.

And check my survivability without Es.

Nova sounds fun and i have never used it before seriously and as you said good for immunes. I'll check out dmg now.

Thanks again.
