how does your wwsin build do agains smiters Speedlander?
so is whirl away the only way to kill smiters?
most smiters shift attack wwbarbs and ww sins making whirl away pointless

Which is why you whirl in a random zig-zagging fashion.
Yeah, thats works, and dont forget to have knockback gloves or fools claw with knockback and arround ~20k AR.

I do well against the vast majority of smiters. Some are more difficult but that's because they usually pack a good ranged attack as well. The best of the best will give anyone a run for their money, as just about any class will if played by an expert. But really expert smiters are few.

As for shift smiting, level 46 mindblast combined with base traps will remove their life fast enough to stop them from standing still for extended periods of time. In any event, I only fear whirling a shift smite if they have a high lifetap percentage. In reality, any smiter that duels me enough will never actually stand still and let me chip at their life from range. The best smiters are hyper aggressive, will tele/shift-smite quite well, and can tap back their entire globe with a single bad whirl on your part. 99% of smiters won't do this, but the 1% that do are a fun duel. I will never claim I "own" anyone or any class because I don't care. I freely admit a well played smiter is difficult, but they are hard because they have the full package including a good person driving them, high lifetap, and more than just their smite to deal damage.

Actually that's a very good point I forgot to mention. You absolutely need the high AR and usually the KB as well. I have a bit less than 30K AR on my sin in pure melee mode and against really dangerous smiters (read: high lifetap %) I always have KB (though since I use a giant skull for KB my AR drops to about 22K).

Against smiters I also switch my enigma for bramble.

As a random comment, I played against a very good, very fast, tele/shift-smiter who seemed to tap every other smite a while ago. I experimented with a few equipment alterations and found that some slow % (used clegs for slow and KB) takes a good bit of the edge off a fast smite. It may not work for everyone and to be honest I only used it against that one person, but it really comes down to tiny tweaks once you are dueling someone who really is an expert at what they do. So take that single dueling experience for what it is worth. Don't use clegs unless everything else is top-notch though since you'll take a big poison damage hit.

My 5 cents.
As I play with pure wwsin the real pain for me is V/T, as they stand still and Foh me from distance like mad and if I DF on him he uses smite. I have not found how to kill the good ones, the crapy ones I can outank just by ww over him few times as they tend to use uped zaka instead of most terrible RW in all D2 game - exile.

Also shift/tele exile smiters with over 40k def is not killable :puf:

Though not all smiters are easy to kill for windies. Once upon a time a smiter named Goldwrap walked EU realm, he didn't fear anyone, but chargebug and turned windies into mush.....
