Going to Egypt in Feb, was wondering about jabs

Hi, I'm going to Egypt in February next year and I was wondering which jabs I'd need before I go. Any help is much appreciated

120 Euro's worth of vaccinations that will end up giving you cancer one day.

Go speak to your doctor and then research anything they suggest online before getting them.

    Is "jab" British for "vaccine"?

Thanks Thyiad, those links were a great help

We use the pound sterling in England, also I'm confused on how a jab can someday give you cancer, could you please elaborate?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's only used in Britain though

Mince Pies - Just go to your local GP and speak to him about it. He should give you all the information you need to know and if i remember correctly, your jabs should be free because we are on national health service if im not mistaken.

    BK,

Yeah I thought Jab was pretty standard for vacine, I guess it is English slang.

Here in Australia we have clinics that do the vaccines, I just called them up and said where I was going and they arranged everything.

I am not sure what you mean Johnny, I have not heard of any links with vaccines to cancer, but if that is your belief then don't let me stop you. I just personally would rather have a vaccination then die to an easily preventable disease.

Re: Going to Egypt in Feb, was wondering about jabs

It depends on how you look at life, I guess in someways most of us will end up with a disease such as cancer or heart disease at some point in time and certain lifestyle choices (smoking, obesity etc.) will increase how likely it is to happen. As far as I am aware I don't think there are any *proven* links between mainstream vaccines and these diseases. Anyway this has gone way of topic

Commit some kind of crime while over there, while in an Egyptian jail you'll get all the jabs you could want.

The jab market is pretty stable over there, you could probably get one easily.

    I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

Clicking the chat gem gives you cancer, but only if you do it a lot, over a long period of time.

It also gives you a Zod, but you have to click it at precisely the right time. My friend did it.

Re: Going to Egypt in Feb, was wondering about jabs

Watch your wallet mince pies...I went to Egypt last year and one of the souveneir selling guys that hang around everywhere (this one was at the main pyramid site) grabbed a note right outta it!
I didn't want to make a big deal, but the tour guide sure did and soon enuff there were 5 officers manhandling any man slightly resembling the description I gave of the crim!

The jabs will be fine, my GP sorted me out one in each arm, no scary butt-jabs or anything!

Whereabouts are you going? The food quality is quite poor so only eat in 'safe' places which they will inform you of...heed that advice well as I had a stomach bug for most of the holiday as the bacterium is more hardcore and won't flush out in a hurry...the missus had to have injections to sort her out!

Besides all of the above, (not trying to put you off dude!) it is bloody beautiful! Soooo much stuff to take stock of! The sea is absolutely crystal, it's baking hot and there is a beer called Stella but it's 3 times better than the filth with the same name in our country! Enjoy yourself!

P.S Learn the words 'No thankyou' very quickly, as you will get sick of stepping out of a door and cars screaming to halt asking you if you want a Taxi!

Thanks for the heads-up, MrKaxe, sorry to hear about your wallet and your stomach bug. The place I'm going to is Sharm El Sheikh (sp?), which I believe is in the Asian part, although I'd like to go to the African part too some time

But consider this. Cancer cells are basically cells with the self destruct mechanism turned off. It's like their durability doesn't wear down like it should.
