I do too, except for that piece o' crap FOX did in full CGI where they were Gorill, Rat, Chettah, Spider, and just stupid. I like the dinosaur ones the best.

Dinobots. The current Transformer comics are amazing as well. Really well crafted and amazing art.

I don't think it was a-typical. Yeah, the action and fight scenes were more predictable, but there was a certain badass about Castle that I have NEVER seen in action heroes. He fears nothing, he gives a **** about nothing, and he just revives that whole invincibility thing.

He has no time for anything or anyone. For example, (**semi-spoiler**) When dave knocks on his door to tell him that crazy guy was in her room, he said nothing, just shut the door. The only thing going though his head was "someone's *** is about to get kicked". He proceeded to drink more wild turkey, put on a clean white tshirt, and prepared to ruin someone. (because all asskicking must take place with a clean white tshirt, as opposed to remaining shirtless).

I post at another message board that has a lot of movie fanatics. I generally trust their opinions more than I trust movie critics (even though some of them are movie critics), and most of them are saying very negative things about Punisher. Given that, I'll wait for it to come out on video, thank you very much.

As for whether or not Punisher counts as a hero, Marvel goes back and forth on that. Currently he is being portrayed as a cure that's worse than the disease.

For anyone who keeps track of such things, Punisher currently has 27% on the tomatometer, and 30% at Metacritic.com.

PS--Does Peter Travers ever give a negative review?

I saw it on Saturday night with one of my girlfriends. Personally, I liked it. You have to look deeper than you normally would with an action film, and try to understand why both parties, the Punisher and Saint (John Travolta) are doing what they're doing. Maybe I read to much into things, but I enjoyed it.

(And no, just because I do promotions for some of the bands on the record label that put out the soundtrack and they sent me a Punisher t-shirt, keychain, and Punisher soundtrack stickers does not mean I sold out, damnit.)
