I'm with ya...I hope she gets better through some action, be it miracle, transplant, charity, whatever. I'll say a prayer.

Out of curiousity, how old are you both?

I'm sorry she's not doing better Hun. You're both in my thoughts. Hold out all hope that things will improve, positive thinking can work miracles :). And every day breakthroughs are being made medically. Neither of you should give up.

I know it can be hard, especially for her. And I can understand how she could feel it's not worth fighting anymore. But it is. There is always a reason to keep going, if only to be a stubborn butt and not give in :).

Keep us updated Hun. *Huggles*

Just to strengthen the muscle, but im not asking for money not at all. i just updated on "prayer" forum i couldnt find it
The heart is a muscle, then there must be a natural way to make a heart stronger;i don't know about that but if we can train our muscles with a specific training, such as bodybuilding, then as a heart is also a muscle, there might a way to train a weak heart in order to make it stronger;so surgery could be avoided, because for me it is not the best solution, even though i don't see how a surgery could help to strengthen a heart;if someone who knows could give me some explanations i'd know if i am wrong or not

There are essentially three different types of muscle in the human body. Cardiac muscle is not quite the same as the other two types of tissues.

I'm actually suprised at the problem. Generally the heart gets to strong. The muscle expands decreasing the volume of blood that the heart can push though. I would assume general exercise would help but it isn't a problem I'm familiar with. I'll try and read up on it.

yes and no,
the heart can be made stronger but generally this makes the heart muscle tissue larger (hypertrophy of the myocardium) This means the volume of blood the heart can hold goes down so pumping is less effective. Like I said, I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. I can't even look anything up specifically whit the info I have on her condition. I would assume a heart transplant would be effective (since the heart is so autonomic it can keep beating as long as something is oxygenating the blood)

Really very sorry to hear about this, man. A little glimmer of hope to hang on to is that doctors are not always correct; my great-grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer and was given a 2 year length to live. Turns out the doctors misdiagnosed her and she never had the cancer.

I'm sure that isn't quite the same. The point is you very well may have several more years with this gal, perhaps even decades or more. Judging from many of your recent posts you are very, very down about this. I don't wish to sound mean or anything but I whole-heartedly recommend you talk to someone about this if you aren't currently doing so. School counselors, teachers, family members, even psychiatrists may be able to help you cope with your situation. I know it sucks to lose people you care for but it is a waste to let two lives possibly ruin. For your own sake, man, talk to someone.

Did that scare the crap out of your family?

My friend's ex-girlfriend has cystic fibrosis and wasn't supposed to live past 17. She's still kicking and screaming at my friend at the ripe ol' age of 25, so never rule out the will to ***** out your boyfriend as something that will keep you alive for a while past your due date.
