gidbinn quest

I have ten or so semi-high level characters on the realm ladders and none of them done the gidbinn quest on a single difficulty. I kind of just assumed the ring would be crappy... I was wondering if anyone ever got good rings from the gidbinn quest. Is it worth doing?

It's a rare ring, usually useless. Does anyone know if the ring mods are at all affected by Clvl, or if it's fixed for each difficulty level? Waiting until high level to get it (much like the charsi reward) may make it worth while..

it's been a while since i did this (.09) so maybe it's different now, however, if you do the gidbinn quest i'm pretty sure that all the prices go down on vendors, therefore making it better to go "shop" for things

I checked it out and id didn´t work. Prices are exactly the same as in other acts (I mean gambling and repears)... and the quest... it´s worth 55k gp - thats it :lol:

Decided I'd give the gidbinn a shot. I did it with two characters at the same time in hell difficulty. The level 89 actually got a decent ring (110 ar, 15 str, 5 dex, mana, 10 all resists, mf) while the level 77 got a mediocre one. So I guess it's possible to get a decent ring but probably unlikely. Vendor prices did not decrease. I'm pretty sure Asheara gives you a mercenary too if for some reason you don't already have one.

Reward: Rare Ring from Ormus. Ring Ilvl: Normal 21, Nightmare 35, Hell 65. The ring's Ilvls are preset, it doesn't matter what your Clvl is when you do this quest or get the reward.

And I think one of the quests makes the act 3 mercs free. Of course they aren't that great but that's just my opinion.
