Getting Open wounds on a IK WW barb

Okay, I'm getting ready to start doing Ubers with my WW/Conc Barb. I've read everywhere that pretty much open wounds is needed to do Ubers.

My gear is IK set
Maul has 2 Shaels in there. I'm guessing my only choice is to get open wounds is to put a UM in there would it be best to put UM+BER. or UM + Shael to keep th IAS up. I wouldn't be using WW for ubers just Conc. so should I just get a 2nd maul and put in in there.

My helm and Armor both have Topaz put in there for MF which may not of been the smartest thing but oh well. I guess I can always replace the helm as that not hard to find.

Rings are a Raven Frost and Manald Heal(needs to be replaced bad)

ammy I have a Rare ammy with +1 to all barb skills + few random stats, nothing good. Trying to get a Highlords soon.

My current build is a lvl 87 Barb
20points in WW
20points in Conc
20points in BO
20points in Weapon Mastery
1point in Iron skin
1point in Natural Resistance
1point in find Item
1point in find potion
10points in Shout
1 point in Battle Command

Thinking my next 2 level points will be stamina and walking speed. Unless that just sounds like a mistake.

Pretty much I'm looking to be able to solo ubers. I've taken down Uber Duriel and Izzy. got my whooped by Andy Sister.

yes you need 2 maul
one with 2x shael(or 15xx) for key runs and Um+anything(Ber is the best) VS ubers
raven+angelic ring/amu to solve AR problems(+ demon limb prebuff)
and the most important! life tap wand on switch:)

left click conc
right click howl
switch right click life tap

OW helps, but won't bleed past life regeneration anyway. CB is much more important-imo.

Opinion: there are tons of skills that can't trigger Open Wounds and they're effective against Tristram. Since OW only lasts eight seconds, you'd be hard-pressed to find a way to keep yourself from being mobbed in most cases. Prevent Monster Heal is much more effective unless it doesn't work against them while working against the Diablo clone. Two words: Nature's Peace.

It overwrites any monsters default regeneration rate, making it very useful for the ubers (16k HP regen per second at p1).

Correct, it doesn't work against them. It's a hardcoded check.

I must be a real wierdo. All I ever needed in tristam was grief/lawbringer with crushing blow on gui's helm and gore rider. Babo is an half-frenzier with tons of wasted points and 3000 life. Merc isn't even a freezer... and all he has is an infinity and resists gear. I never used open wounds or prevent heal or poison or anything. Just good old hack and slash with LAYING :)

Gore riders have 10% OW.

Well it having the open wounds to prevent the healing. If you don't have that OW, i would imagine it would be very hard to keep up the massive damage to counter the uber regen rate.

I've had baal regenerating quite a bit. Obviously, 10% open wounds wasn't enough to stop it. Still, he's always gone down anyway.

Tip: put 1 point find potion and your farming for full juvies before entering tristam will be super quick :)
