Fury/Rabies too weak?

Alright, so I've now spent a whole lotta time on this build, only to find that's it's extremely unviable and weak. Rabies does pitiful damage, but Fury kills quite well. In act 1 hell, I can't stand up to more than a small group without being completely annihilated. Here's what I've got so far. Any ideas? I'm thinking of starting a Fury/Armagheddon build with the hopes it'll actually be able to kill with something other than Fury.

Ok. I'll assume that from that Rabies damage you dont have any Shapeshift GC's? I'd advise getting these (even though my rabies doesn't do a GREAT deal in hell at 28~29K)
One thing I will point out is that you have missed out on the Carrion Wind ring bug which grants a lvl 21 Rabies synergy (as apose to lvl 20 because +skills dont affect synergy damage) but this only works if you havn't put any points into poison creeper, which you have.

I also have a successful Fury druid who does about 4K (with PD) at 4 fpa. This is high damage at the fastest attack speed possible, and he still struggles alot in hell. The reason is that Fury attacks multiple targets, so you don't kill groups quickly at all.

I'd say that the Fury / Rabies build is much more suited to PvP as apose to PvM but if you get some Shapeshift GC's that will boost your damage AND your life.

As to stats im assuming you can hold all your gear? In which case I would add all the remaining points into vitality because you need all the life you can get. I would also add all remaining skill points into Lycanthropy or Oak sage for the extra life bonus.

it works very well for me I made a druid using these skills and have no problems and like you didnt use the carrion wing bug.

I think I need to state that I didn't use carrion wind because it is indeed a bug. If making a successful Fury/Rabies build depends on having a bugged skill/item combo, then this is indeed too weak for me. I'm just horribly disappointed at the outcome of this build. After reading Electric Blue's werewolf guide and hearing that the Fury/Rabies combo was one of the "fastest killers in PvM" I didn't think I'd be wasting my time. Unfotunately it seems I have. This character is just too weak. Rabies does too little to take care of groups, and using fury on more than 3 monsters at a time guarantees my untimely death. I'm just finding it hard to believe that a level 73 character, with skills maxed can't hold his own. Pathetic. It just seems that the "new" hell is just too damn hard for the average player.

I use new scourge horizon something or other and storm and on switch buriza

he does about 20-21k rabies damage and about 2.5k I think fury damage with the scourge more with buriza. He does fine and has 8 ss charms but no anni

Wow, I've never been able to find anything even remotely that good. Did you find all this in NM or hell?

mostly hell but I have found some stuff in nm like a soj once for example. I haev 4 stormshields and they where all found on my own the most recent about 2 weeks ago from hell pindle....since 1.1 came out I have also found a griz caddy and shield from hell pindle he is my friend :lol:

I think you'll find that your equipment is to blaim for a LARGE part of this.
Also, what is your AR ? With 43 Dex, it isn't likely to be too damn high without some serious work in gear, so you'd have a hard time hitting things (even with the 150% Bonus from Aldur's I doubt you'll get very far).
Also, I'm not a fan of the twohanded option. Missing out on a Shield makes you lose a lot of Defense, Block and Res.

Some suggestions (all of which can be traded for PGems, I know I did )
Jalal's Mane (~4-6 Gems) or Cerberus Bite
Trang Gloves (~6 Gems)
If you want to keep an Aldur's bonus, go for the Armour instead (3 more lvls to go). Prefered option of course would be Bramble, but that's pretty darn hard to make if you're fairly poor.
Try gambling for better rings. I'm sure you can gamble duel res rings with a decent AR. Do a couple Council + Shenk + Eldritch runs on NM for decent drops (money to gamble, or perhaps to trade - mayhap some gems). You could add Travincal through Flayer Jungle on NM for more money and gems.

They're fairly fun to do, and don't take too long. Just bite something and watch everything die.

maybe re-make and make just a meele wolf ( full fury ).

and by the look of ur eq fury/ rabies hyb wolf is expensive compared.
