fury: grief or botd

title.

I was looking at the new ladder runewords, and saw grief standing there. the +340-400 damage mod looks promising to say the least.

In my mind i made a setup for my wolfie, with fortitude included(am duelling palas/barbs only)

jalalas(30max)
stormshield(30max)
angelic amu/rings
fortitude archon
verdugos
bloodfists
goreriders( or .08 goreriders if i can get them, the have +10 max)
9x shape/life, 1x shape/fhr, 8x 3max with life, 1x 3max/fhr

im not sure about weapon choice at alll. botd 415%zerk looks nice, grief looks nice too(grief phase +400 damage, ias doesnt matter).

My druid is just a public dueler with enough dex for maxblock, and 156 str for storm without weapon(want to use gris caddy for DruidvsDdruid)

grief looks best on paper to me, but i dont have a clue how the %ed from fortitude and the +max from jalalas/storm(doesnt this give ed/max bug?, another thing i dont know) have an effect on the total damage.

anyone care to help me decide if i should aim for a botd zerk or a grief phase, and does anyone know if max from helm/shield+%ed from armor doesnt suffer from ed/maxbug?

Scroll down and look at the poll about best 1 handed fury weapon. Hopefully that'll answer your questions.

grief is far ahead of anything in damage over time pretty much.
ed/max bug only occurs when ed and max are on the same item.
Either by socketing ed/max ed/min ed/min/max into items or socketing ed% into items with +max on them already.
There is no bug using in weapons as you probably know.

oki tnx broll =) was more fearing that fortitude+ 30max jewels in other armor would screw up things, as i've never seen someone with such setup before(only druids with +max/enigma, or barbs with .08 arreat(socket max)/enigma. if i understand you, it isnt the case :)

correct me if im wrong here, but 30max is still godly for fury+fortitude eh? since the skill %ed+armor %ed is already that high, that 40ed jewels barely matter, but the +30 max gets multiplied by skill and forti %ed if i understand correctly~~

The higher the weapon+charm damage, the better %ed is
The higher the +%ed from skills/str etc is the better +max is.
You'd need to calculate it to be sure as both are high. :)
As long as the ed and +max dont end up on the same item then its always ok.
(pala shields with %ed can take +max but if then add %ed it bugs :))
