    Frost Zealot Problem

My frost Zealot is currently level 64. With skills: Holy Freeze Maxed, Resist Cold Maxed, Zeal Maxed, and Sacrifice somewhere between 10 and 13 (This is the skill I am working on maxing right now). I just got to hell and I am having a real problem killing the cold immunes. Enough of a problem where it is stopping me from advancing any further. I don't have any "uber" gear. I mostly just create my own games with passwords and play alone. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to take out these cold immunes quicker? Thanks in advance.

I have 1 point into vengance and a Crescent Moon Phase blade specifically to get around cold immunes. If you have the runes, I highly recommend CM, you can use it on several pally types. I also find that Laying of Hands helps out a lot for cold immune demons, even with a Nords tenderizer, which does lots of cold damage, I can do enough physical damage to put them down. In my opinion, you might be a little young for hell level, I usually don't take my pallies to hell until mid 70's because their resists are so poor. I guess it depends on you equipment. Got a list for us to review?

I agree you're a little low lvl to be in Hell- wait until at least lvl 70. Go kill Baal a few times to get there. One option is to get Crushing Blow, or Cresent Moon. Another is to use a Might Merc from NM Act 2 and give him something good to do damage with, (his aura will help your phys damage as well). Crushing Blow is probably the easiest of the three to get, (because it will take forever to lvl your Merc). Also, are you hitting things? Attack Rating can get very bad in Hell.

You probably can't afford or get right now, but Beast will probably be the best runeword for you, (especially if you can put it in a nice +skills Scepter). I know you can't get it yet- but It's something to dream about.

BTW, if you are having trouble getting Crushing Blow yuo could use the runeword Black, (Thul, Io, Nef) in a mace or battle hammer.

black would be good, but put it into something faster than a battle hammer, say a truncheon or a scourge. Speed is the key. And get a Laying of Hands to amp your damage up vs demons.

Well honestly, my equipment just plain sucks.

    Helm: Rockstopper Sallet
Weapon: Hand of the Blessed Light Divine Scepter
Shield: Ancient's Pledged Rondache with 206 def
    Armor: Rockfleece Field Plate
Gloves: Laying of The Hands Bramble Mitts
    Belt: Sigon's Wrap
    Boots: Sigon's Sabot Greaves
and a +2 to Offensive Auras ammy

Thanks for the advice. I'll take him leveling in nm.

As far as I can tell, you're leech comes from your Sigons which is only 10%, you have resists from ancients pledge and LOH. I say find a Vipermagi armor ASAP, ditch the divine scepter for a nords, and find a 2 socket pally shield with good resists and make a rhyme out of it. You definitely need more leech and resistance to hang in hell. You can run with rockstopper for a long time though, but i'd switch it out for a tals mask when you can get one. With the Hell penalty vs. leech, you need to have lots of it to get by, I'm hurting if I'm at less than 21% life leech on my level ** frosty and my 91 avenger.

Thanks a lot. I will definitely look into the gear.

EDIT: Sorry for being a noob, but what's a nords?

With that weapon you should be hitting at 6 FPA.
Get a phaseblade or any other weapon and focus in getting 4 FPA.
CMoon is very easy to make (Shael Um Tir in a 3 sock phase) and
is a very viable weapon to solo hell with HF zealer. (thu not the best)
and its static is really helpfull against CIs.
    Note
from 5 to 4 FPA you deal ~20% more damage
from 6 to 5 FPA you deal ~35% more damage
from 6 to 4 FPA you deal ~50% more damage

Nords tenderizer is a unique truncheon that gives a huge boost to AR, it helps for hitting things in hell. Mine is 330 ED and amn'd to give me a bit more leech.
