Frenzy, Sword or axe mastery?

, so before i place points in either of those masteries what is ur opinion

personally I like Swords with frenzy. Grief pb + lastwish pb are a very potent combo.
I think axe is probably the more popular option and it does open up some other combos like beast/ grief
maces arent that bad either , something like a couple stormlashes or Shaffers hammer is still pretty gg.
There's good options for all of em.

It pretty much depends on if you want to use Beast or not. It's about the only common Frenzy runeword that can only be made in axes. Anything else from Oath to Death to LW to eBotD can be made in both.
(Of course Lawbringer can't be made in axes, but because it has no %ED on it I can't really be bothered with losing the skill %ED from the mastery. Just make it in a PB and be done with it.)

My pure Frenzy is always an axeman. I even planned the 1.10 around alternate gear for summoning and didn't need any additional IAS. Beast ettin axe, Crescent Moon war spike (takes care of the Schaeffers/Stormlash issue), Wolfhowl, Stone, Death ethereal war spike, Oath ethereal ettin axe, and so on.
I have a two-fister with a variant using Whirlwind, and that's not wise to use a Beast in an ettin axe since the last breakpoint isn't possible. Rather than make another Beast I prefer to use swords, so there's a possibility for you. Of course, you could just use a eBotD berserker axe, but then a colossus blade is just as viable (if I remember the list correctly).
I suppose it really depends on the runewords you're going to use.

I say swords, I'm using axes right now and I cant stand the repair cost of just 3 durability, I saw a barb using LW pb and ETBOD CB and he was doing really well.

well, i really think it depends a lot on what ur going to use the barb for. if it is normal pvm i would go w/ some combo of ebotdcb, griefpb, n lastwishpb or 2x ebotdz. but if its for ubers i would go w/ ebotdz n edeathz. the reason for this is that pb are auto indestructible, so u dont have to worry about repair bills on your grief n lastwish. but, i prefer the zerkers for the increased dmg, n lower req.
