Frenzy Mechanics?

I kind of searched around but couldn't find a detailed discussion on what I wanted to know.

I have a lvl 25 barbarian right now at beginning of act 3. Dual wielding axes. Have to after the D3 vid. Been running mostly on p3, except for a few times I forget to do it when game starts.

Anyways. I've been using Double Swing most of the game. It's pretty nice for instant hitting mobs so they can't hit back. But now I have Frenzy and I'm not liking it. It seems like just a regular attack and I do notice a running speed increase but not sure about the attack speed.

I need to know how it increases attack speed.

Say I take a swing at lvl 1 Frenzy. I hit and get the 7 percent increase in attack speed. I swing a second later and hit again. Do I have a 14 percent increase or is it just 7 percent?

If I have a 14 percent increase to attack speed, (Frenzy has a 6 second duration) do I lose 7 percent after 5 seconds do to the first frenzy hit's duration being over, or when you hit multiple times does the increase to attack speed compound and refresh the duration rate so I have say 6 seconds of 50 percent from 3 or 4 hits in a row at later levels of Frenzy? Does a missed attack reset you to 0 bonus?

I didn't notice a difference with the damage or attack rating so I'm guessing those stay the same.

Also the 1 percent increase to magic damage synergy from Berserk. Does that take your damage and 1 percent of it is magical? Or is some of the damage done in Frenzy considered magic damage. I'm a little confused on what that means. Because if you do 0 magic damage, adding 1 percent should still mean 0 magic damage.

It seems like at this point in the game though that as long as I can still hit with Double Swing I should, because hitting the mobs quickly usually doesn't give them a chance to react and attack, but I notice when using Frenzy they can get hits and other stuff inbetween my swings.
