Frenzy Gear Setup

I have never played a frenzy barb before and want to make one for ubers. Just looking for some feedback on my gear.

...but first, I'd like to get something cleared up. A friend told me that a frenzy barb sucks and wont be able to uber because frenzy lags you alot with max attack speed...I think this is total B.S but can anyone confirm this?

Anyways...as far as gear goes heres what I'm thinking.

Dungos OR Nosferatus OR String of Ears

Any suggestions? Should I aim for a certain IAS Grief in order to hit the last speed breakpoint? Is there a better weapon combination than Greif pb and LW pb? And what combination of gloves and belt would you suggest?

Eth Zodded Arreats - switch out for non-eth arreats n socket w/ ber or max/ed jewel
Highlords
2x Ravenfrosts
AP Fortitude - i perfer coh for the +2 skills, res (meph can hurt w/o res), n dr, and it alos has ed to demons, so its not that much less dmg
Laying of Hands OR upped Bloodfists - LoH definitely
Goreriders
Dungos OR Nosferatus OR String of Ears - strings is the way to go
(bty, i think that def is pretty much worthless for pvm, and would never sacrifice skills or stats for improved def)

Thanks for the feedback...and Spankeh I did read the guide and I found it very helpful, however it still left me with a few questions, hence the thread.

can somebody help me out with the IAS need on this setup? i've read all over these forums that 5fps is the max frenzy speed, but the damage calculator stickied in the Barb Build/Useful info section is telling me that at 7.5 fps I dont need any more IAS...

as for the ias your already hitting the 5 fps break point. you might want to dbl check it, but i just ran it w/ 30 ias phase balde (grief, could be more depending on roll), 0 ias phase blade (last wish), 20 off weapon ias (highlords, would be 40 w/ LoH), and lvl 27 frenzy ( i usually run w/ lvl 32 frenzy, but if u go w/ fort over coh, and don't use a torch it would be lvl 27). so, as you can see, even w/ the lowest possible ias given your setup you already hit the 5 fpa celing.

Incorrect.

An ed/max jewel in anything but a weapon results in only the max damage mod being used, and the ED ignored.
Always best to use an ed/ias jewel as your general arreats socket item.
If you have more than one arreats (who doesnt), ber would be the next best choice if your weapon combo already hits 5fpa.

Yeah, you have used the calculator slightly wrong.
Any Griefpb with any pb as off weapon, will only require ~5%IAS from somewhere, like from Hilords etc to hit 5fpa
