Frenzy Controlling

First of all, Frenzy is great!! It kills fast (although not as fast as Frozen Orb or Blessed Hammer, but fast enough). It makes you run even faster than Teleport. However, it is hard to control, especially when I get into Frenzy mode. I usually miss target by running past them. If I hold shift and click attack, the efficiency is pretty low, since many target cannot be reached if I stand still (with Range 2 CB), not to mention the ranged attacking monsters. :sad2:

I guess it is only the matter of control and proficiency. Can any experienced Frenzy users advice a little on how to get Frenzy well into control? Thanks!!! :tongue:

Shift + click sucks. And you're not a goofy paladin, so don't ever think about doing that again.

So, what you do is, stick Frenzy on the left side click and hold the button down.

I think he means that if you click and hold frenzy on left click, you'll automatically stop and attack any monsters that you encounter. It works the same way as right clicking find item on empty space and then running around a bunch of corpses: you'll attempt to find item on every corpse you encounter.

am i missing something? i always thought that frenzy barbs r some of the easiest chars to play. its all "point n click". i always have my attks on left, n spells on right, n simply click on a monster n hold it there till its dead! if u feel that ur running too fast, u can always simply hit the run botton, and problem solved.

Even I was walking, I still miss targets by running past them once in a while... I still don't understand the "Right click" technique. Can anyone explain it more detailedly please? Thanks! :grin:

Frenzy goes on the Right Click. You click on the ground. Hold the button down while not specifically targeting any one monster. You'll run up to them and start swinging your swords/axes/clubs/wirts' leg+hellforge hammer/etcetc at the monster(s) in front of you.

Don't bite off more than you can chew. You attack fast, but splitting attacks VS. a pack of monsters means you're attacking at half speed or slower. You've got massive means of travel, so use it to your advantage and pick off the stragglers.

Correct Correct and Correct,

You'd have to be a halfwit (sorry guy's) to put Frenzy on left mouse button.
On Right, just click and HOLD on the ground somewhere, and then move the mouse around (dont let go of right click) and you will start swinging as soon as you are in range of anything.
The only down fall is that you cant see what mods the monster/s posses, but weeeeell worth this minor inconvience.

I got frenzy on left and never had any problem pointing at things... but do agree it gets a bit annoying at times.

Got what you guys meant by Right-clicking :D However, this creates a new inconveniece -- you have to switch skills again and again for War Cry, don't you? :/

well, i dont see the need for the insult. but, anyways im sticking w/ left click b/c thats the way ive done it for the last 6yrs n i dont see ne reason to change now.

If you did go with warcry you shouldn't have a problem with this.... just have it hotkeyed first and frenzy after it... Warcry then switch to frenzy and unload.

My frenzy has no need for war cry. He can charge into a large group and take them all out in a couple of seconds then keep on trucking. I keep my Frenzy to right click as well.. It feels more natural for me since I've done it with a lot of my characters. It's up to your personal playing style though.

Thanks. I find War Cry very useful (though not necessary in most occasions). It saves you some time killing (since you don't need to FHR), and saves some repair costs too :grin: But sometimes, it is necessary to survive, for example, if you are mobbed by several Champion Death Lord, who are also "Frenzy"... :cry:

no, full speed for me. n i dont have ne problems targeting. also, i forgot to mention earlier that i would see having frenzy on right click a huge inconvience when battling ubers, since i use howl a lot in trist.
