Frenzy Barb mercenary

I'm new to the game and decided to make a frenzy barb. I'm wondering which mercenary would be best for this build. I looked through all the frenzy barb guides and none of them mentioned which merc to use,so I decided to make a topic on it since i could'nt find one within the first 10 pages of topics,and one more thing I'd like to ask is if Azurewrath is a good weapon for frenzy barbs and what would be best to pair it with? Any help is much appreciated.

might for damage, possibly holy freeze for survivability (if you're not already using a duped runeword that supplies that aura).

ACT 2 merc, might aura with pride. or def aura with pride

Act 2 Nightmare Might Merc with Eth Infinity R/word kills significantly faster together with a Frenzy Barb, than Act 2 Nightmare Might Merc with Pride R/word and Frenzy Barb.
Anyone that continues to state otherwise hasn't made either of the two runewords to compare the difference.

Thanks for the help everyone. Now is sword mastery a good path to go with Azurewrath? I'm trying to find out so I don't make a mistake going with something that won't work well in hell mode.

Azurewrath has only 1/3 output damage compare with other top weapons. it is not the target unless u a not looking for a better end.

I'm using a grief PB/Lawbringer PB combo and it's really good, Last wish is also great but stupid expensive.

I've always wanted to try a harmony merc with an inventory filled with faster run walk charms lol.

A faith act 1 merc would be cool too. You would turn into a woodchipper with the extra ias

When it comes down to it act 2 mercs might be the better choice. But rogues can provide you with other pro's (IM)

i m using Grief PB + Lacerator
and there are many other candidate. just look at the suggestion from other guys, they are all good choices.

You can reach the fastest attack breakpoint with weapons that deal more damage than phase blades. Same attack speed, more damage. However this might not be true with MF gear which may or may not be a consideration for you.

I have a frenzy barb and I use grief PB in right hand and LW PB in left. I read where a NM Might merc is recommended for a frenzy build, but I already get 17 might from LW. Would a might merc stack? OR, since I am getting might from LW should I get another aura merc?
I am currently using a 93 barb merc - mainly because I never have to revive him. He is loaded with Fort, Arreats, Botd and is a great tank.

Might auras will not stack (unless you're weilding dual LW's)

Life tap will work for anything/anyone who is attacking one who is cursed, granted the attacker is using a leechable attack.

IMO you're good to go if you already have the might. Stick with your barb merc. Or you could do as I suggested and pick up fanata aura from a rogue.

If you need better survivability get a holy freeze merc.

That's the kind of barb I would like to make. Now... I got 0 pgs and torch of iro and a lvl 25 necro. Hmm got some wealth to gather... :scratchchin:
