For Zealot-Shaft and Gaze Good Combo?

Sounds like it... -45% damage is nice..
I was using Gris Armor and Crown of Thieves.. any opinions?

its a pretty standard combination, but i think that max block and resists are more important than dr.

Ya they can be a really good combo and free up your belt and sheild. The neg. to using a shaft and vamp is that you will not have the high defense that other armors will give you. What you need to do if you plan on using these items is to get a upgreaded of bolth. 156 str is all you will need to use upped shaft and vamp. Also you could have 50% dr with a 20%dr vamp. Also you could easyly get maxed resists with a shaft and vamp by getting a really high resist all sheild. And alot of resist all small charms. Also I would like to say that right now I use a uppgraded shaft and I plan on getting a upped 20% dr vamp in this ladder.

well a perfect white 4 socketed paladin shield could have 45 all res as an automod. with 4 pdiamonds you could get 121 all res right there. with an um in both your helmet and your armor, you'd have 151 all res, meaning that 5x 5% all res charms should do you well. you do lose the advantages from other shields tho because blocking is lower, no +skills etc.

anyhow its definately doable, but depending on your budget i'd say the safer route is to go with resists and blocking instead of dr. with resists and blocking and leech you can still dive in and play, but without resists you have to worry about being tanked by big monsters while the archers and mages pick away at you

Upgrade the Shaftstop but NOT the Vampire Gaze. You might end up with less defence than you had to begin with...
