For the Enchantresses

Since the runewords came out, I discovered dream, the runeword with holyshock. Back in early 1.10, I mixed different class skills with an editor to find any that would be a great combo. Of the many combos i found, holy shock + lightning masteries was one of them.

See details here:

There are a lot of runewords useful to enchantresses that were released, but dream has to be the most nifty one of all.

One final word, as to why the lightning damage gets so high even though holy shock is only 1-648 damage, lightning mastery starts off at a higher percentage then fire mastery. IE lowerdamage but higher mastery percentage.

I'm going to start playing ladder ALOT more to save up for that pesky jah rune, enchantresses are my favorite kind of sorc :D

I read somewhere that if you use it in a shield as well both auras stack? I was a bit skeptical of that, but if anyone can confirm it...wow.

You could use that runeword for holy shock and the other runeword for conviction to deal even more damage. Right? As long as they both are not weapons only runewords, if thats the case pheonix in a shield may be a nice option to think about.

Hmmm.. Imagine a melee sorceress with "Dream" runeword both in helmet and shield. Both give lvl 15 Holy Shock aura when equipped. That's level 30 HS aura together (yes, they work like that). That gives 1-1668 lightning damage to your melee attacks. Assuming maxed Lightning Mastery and lots of +skills, you can increase this to huge amounts. For example, if you have total of +20 to lightning skills (not impossible to get with 10 skillers) you'll get level 40 LM which is +518%. That makes total of: (1-1668) * 6.18 * 6.18 = 38-63704 lightning damage added to your attack! And thats only with 20 skill points. Add the fire damage from enchant to that and a merc with Infinity... *faints*

Nice looking (and powerful) build, but how would your merc get his life leech?

Is this PvP or PvM. Anyway I dont know about using phoenix runeword. Theres no ias on the runeword i believe, so itll be a pretty slow attack. Correct me if im wrong, but it seems the only useful mod for an enchantress is the -28 enemy fire res in PvP. Also I dont think theres any use for a dream helm on the merc really. There are a lot of better helms. I would rather have 10 enchant charms, cause that would boost the lvl of enchant giving you better attack rating, which is sorely lacking.
