There's one last thing we need to cover before we move on: How to reroll maps. Let's say you don't like the map you have because the waypoint is far away from where you want to go. Now, just change difficulties and you'll get a new map. Of course you have to explore it again and it might not be good but after a few tries you'll probably get a good map. As you'll have to do quite a few runs to get what you want it does make sense to spend some time looking for a quick map.
I didnt quite understand this. Does this mean that say i do my first meph run and i like the map, how do i keep the same map ? (i dont understand it - when i remake the game, the map changes)

Hell Mephisto (max TC 78, lvl 87):
what does TC mean?

As Pindle's level is 86 he cannot drop the Arachnid Mesh and thus you'll end up with triple durability Spiderweb sash.
who drops anarchnid mesh then?

If you play SP, you should keep the same map every time. Only Multiplayer and BNet causes the map to change on each game.

TC means Treasure Class, the games internal mechanism for grouping items together. Basically, each item belongs to a particular treasure class. Monsters can only drop from certains TCs, based on their level.

I guess only Baal, or Champions/Uniques in lvl 85 areas, like the Pit or te Ancient Tunnels.

1) Once u get a map u like just dont change difficulty and voila u will keep it! (as long as u dont MP)
2) TC = treasure class --> the game classifies items into groups and certain monsters can drop from certain TCs (and then the game chooses one particular item from the TC, once that TC is chosen). TC 87 is the highest, good luck finding the items in this one
3) hmmm ive found two but i cant really remember where from. baal would be a good place tho. wait until someone with good technical knowledge comes along...or one with access to ATMA now :D

Arachnid mesh can be dropped by Meph, Diablo, Baal and champions and uniques in lvl85 areas. There are more monsters that drop it, but these are the most run ones.

MP = multiplayer. The map stays the same as long as you don't switch difficulty levels or join a MP game... but if you do one of those things, then the map will be different when you return.

MP = multiplayer. The map changes every time you start a new game on b.net. Only the SP people get to keep their maps. (SP is single player ;))

Awesome guide Nightfish.

Just noticed a bit of errata. You said the ideal amu would be resist all and +3 summoning. That's not a possible amu since both mods are prefixes (so they can't be on the same magic item) and the +3 skill tab mods can't happen on rares.

Also, for headgear choices you can gamble some pretty sweet +2 all and +3 summoning circlets. I wouldn't risk a socket quest for it in SP but you have 50/50 shot of Larzuk socketing a magic circlet to one or two sockets. Two offers a lot of flexibility. For purposes other than MF a Circlet can be superior, like slapping in a couple Um runes, for instance.

I've become a fan of this build and i think its cool.

I got a few questions I would like answered if someone could

1- what does "In 1.11 necomancers no longer benefit from the charge-skill synergy bonus" mean? I didnt quite get what he meant, does that mean that 1.11 necros are weaker than 1.10 for the same skill sets?

2- what kind of level should I have on mastery and RS to do hell baal runs? I have around 30 on both but sometimes they just die in nm (?) which i find quite weird.

3- does life leach on weapons/armors etc (not life tap) work with the skeles (a) for the skeles (b) for the necro?

1. That means you no longer get synergies from charges on items like in 1.10 - for example you would get the synergies of an slevel 31 Bone Prison by equiping Marrowwalk. There's been no changes to how synergies from hard invested skill points work.

2. Dunno.

3. a) No. b) No (if I understand you correctly, you're asking if a Necromancer equipped with leech equipment would get life from the Skeletons' attacks.)

Well, here we go again.

When I last played, your Fishymancer kicked ***.

I've not played in a long time, and just loaded it back up with 1.11 - time to start up a fresh char and see how it goes.

I'm sad to see your didn't do a Skills Progression chart like you did on earlier builds of this char. But i see that going to http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=509 that it pretty much has the same idea. So i'll use that ;)

building in this game is something i'm not good at. So i need a pretty good layout of what and when to use a skill point.

I took out the point by point progression for a reason. It's kinda hard to predict at which you'll get the additional skillpoints. The way it is now it's much shorter in text but it's a lot more universal at the same time. It still tells you exactly what you have to do in order to make the char fly but you'll have to read a bit of text.

The second reason is that this way of doing it is more foolproof for typos or math errors.

Because you aren't decreptifing him. And because he is hard to beat. You want decrp.

And spend all those stat points. Why on earth have you saved so many? I like max block but some people don't for a summoner, so put some in vit and some in dex or put all in vit.

Get a good shield. Why don't you have one?

Gear is a bit irrelevant, a summoner should be OKish almost naked.

You probably want at least one point in revive too. But get decrp first. I personally dislike revives, so I maxed mages instead.

Sorry, I do have decrep, just forgot to list it, I also have a + 2 to raise skeleton shield. There was so much to type i accidentally left them out :(

Alright, spend those stat points, put the /players setting to 1, and go fight him. Decrep him, cast clay golem on him, and cast these again when they run out. Expect to have to TP away and re-raise your army a few times, as they will probably all die. It may take a long time.

Ok thanks :)
I might try to level up a bit as well. I still get decent exp from Durance levels and River of Flame/Chaos Sanctuary.

Might be an idea. Get mages while your at it (or revives). They will probably die as soon as Diablo does his firey ring thing, because they will be at a low level, but you do have level 20 skelly mastery so they might get a few hits in first.
