Fishy/Summoner having hard times in Hell Act 4

    Fishy/Summoner having hard times in Hell Act 4

    (Playing on TCP/IP)
    My necromancer is something like max raise skeleton, max sm, max corpse explosion, some summon resist, some revive and some one pointers.

    My once reliable skeleton army are weak at Hell Act4, they can no longer withstand the enemy attack to hold the line, not to mention not killing the first monster fast enough for me to explode its corpse.
    Usually I cast decrecify crazily on the enemies but still my minion fell quickly.

    I killed Izual but couldn't even get to that City of Something way point.

    This is the easiest build in the game already, right? What am I doing wrong?

    fishys are tough in hell act4-5 imo
    use him to run meph/andy and lvl85 areas for gear for your other chars

    best to post for help in the nec forum
    be sure to list your clvl/stats/skills/gear for best advice

    Get a few +skills to make your life easier. Also learn to use attract.

    Do you have a Act II Might mercenary? If not go get one, your damage will go up significantly.

    You should be using Amplify Damage on enemies, not Decrepify. You'll do alot more damage that way. Decrepify is used against bosses.

    What sized army are you able to summon? What level are you right now in Act IV Hell?

    i suggest, you use attract or decrepify on those enemies that your skellies arent engaging and amp damage on those that are in melee range.

    Hitting baddies (especially ranged ones, such as gloams) with Dim Vision until your army can close the distance is a good idea as well. Or recast your clay golem directly behind them, so they turn to attack gumby and your bony death squad can cha-cha-cha up to them unmolested, while you do the robot in celebration. That's how I play, anyway.

    First off, nothing at all wrong with any of those suggestions. I liked the robot comment too. :grin:

    I'm all about simplification. On my fishy, I pretty much used two buttons. Button 1, amp damage. Button 2, corpse explosion. Once my army was summoned, it was pretty much amp damage, corpse explosion, corpse explosion, corpse explosion, drink potion if needed, repeat. I used decrep for bosses, that was the only time I used it. Got me all the way through hell.

    A might merc (as stated above) is a definite must-have. Whenever you start a game, just go to the cold plains and he should be able to get the first few kills for summons.

    At the higher levels you need to work on more crowd control so you get your army focusing on a few targets killing them which allow you to use CE. The trick is getting that first kill. Use attract and terror to thin out the crowd that is attacking your army. Amp damage on those your skellies are attacking. Once you get your first corpse the rest fall rather quickly.

    But I agree a might merc is a must to get past the 50% PI
