    Fire Golem question

    Hi all!

I am planning to remake my bonemancer according to edl-league.
(no marrow bug/nor tele/ duels in normal/no clay golem).

My current necro does fine but i have the feeling i miss something.
I dont use a golem atm and i think fire golem could work but i am not sure.
So before levelling a new necro to 94, i want some input.
Here is what i have in mind: (also based on soulesschilds guide)

Amp damage : 1 (i also do some tvt)
    Corpse Expl: 1 (pre-req)
    Bone Armor: 1
    Bone Spear: 20
    Bone Spirit: 20
    Teeth: 20
    Bone Wall: 20
    Clay Golem: 1 (pre-req.)
    Blood Golem: 1 (pre-req.)
    Iron Golem: 1 (pre-req.)
    Fire Golem: 1
    Golem mastery: 1
Bone Prison will be lvl 17 when i hit 94

In all my duels i use 125 fcr and enough frw(110-120) as i cant tele

My real question is: is fire golem a good choice, how much life he will have in normal with this setup (i will have +10 to summon skills from my gear) and will that keep him alive lets say 2 foh hits? will he have enough frw to keep up?
or should i just forget about that idea and max bone prison...

one more thing: decrep also not allowed

    Thanks already

Based on what you said FG will have 1017 hitpoints in Normal and 3292 hitpoints in Hell. His FR/W is +28%. I don't think FG will survive the required amount of FoH hits.

hmm with 1000 hp he should survive a couple of hits when he is not in conviction aura, that could help me with those defensive playing foh'ers who use conv+vigor to run away, together with bone wall that seems nice.

Dunno if fire golem would be good vs trapper, perhaps the traps will attack him first and can i dish out some spears/spirits to hit trapper first, dunno

edit: thanks for the help MM, do u think its a good idea of using fire golem or is it not worth the skill points?

I dont' think so...remember that the golem is not a player so he will take the full amount of damage. I doubt a 1000 hp fire golem will survive much more than a fireball sorc.

do remember that its normal we battle,

one foh without conviction doesnt do alot of damage...

But what u mean with fire golem not to be a player?

its good that it takes the full amount of damage so it keeps me out of shot right? That extra time gained can mean difference between life or dead,
one good spirit hit does good damage

Players take a reduced amount of damage in PvP from certain types of attacks. Otherwise we'd be doing nothing but one hit kills to each other. Your minions don't. That's why skellimancers are worthless in PvP except for tricking melee characters into attacking while hitting them with Iron Maiden (whose effects AREN'T reduced when they hit your minions as opposed to yourself). And maybe, just maybe a prebuffed Arm of King Leoric beast/pride/might merc combo might be dangerous to other players but I don't have that stuff so can't try it.

Monsters have a ton of HP compared to players but do a lot less damage since players have considerably lower HP. That's why magic attacks can do such a frightening amount of damage and there are weapons that enhance damage by 400 plus percent.
