Yeah, I thought it was pretty ironic that they made their last second three-pointer even though it didn't change the outcome of the game. If UConn had missed both of those last 2 free throws, who knows...

That last three pointer was amazing, I found it hilarious.

Darn. Duke was my pick for the champion. Guess we won't be having the ACC championship game like I hoped. I'm not a Tech fan but I'm going to pull for them just because it's the ACC.

Wait, who called Tech making it to the finals at the start of it all...
    Oh, that was me!

    WOOT!!!! GO TECH BABY!!!!111

Time to make it 2-0 against Uconn on the season.

And ESPN is pissing me off every game after the second round... "Tech just isn't good enough to handle this team." Well you know what ESPN HA-Freaking-HA

Too bad Duke couldn't make it (guess we know who the better ACC team is) but if they had made it I would have the Final Four and the Championship Game right.

Well, Duped took the OTF pool with 830 points. He tied with mac for the most correct picks, so he pretty much did a clean sweep there.

I had the least amount of picks right, but I still ended up in a tie (with gismo) for 5th in points thanks to UConn making it to the finals. So while I might suck at most picks, at least I did great with one team.

Maybe next year I'll actually pay more attention to college hoops and do much better. But probably not. ;)

Woo hoo! I claim a victory in spirit if not reality. Looks like I got the early picks right, but sucked at the end. Good times! Mad props to Rafty!

Which of course begs the question for all you lames who lamely didn't participate in the OTF tourney: what are you guys, lame? ;)

4th place for me... although duped did get two entries, CHEATER!!:cheesy:

Stanford and Mississippi St. really rocked my bracket. That's the last time i put any faith in a Pac-10 team. I should have relied on my hatred of the Pac-10 and picked them to lose early. Oh well, live and learn.

You should have started it earlier, I would have destroyed you guys. I saw it after the first half of the first round was done... I think you opened like 30 minutes before the first game so I didn't see it, because naturally I was watching pre-games.

I only made one entry, the other pants entry is Mac I think.

I'm still crying about UAB vs. UK. I think I'm just gonna pretend it's a rebuilding year for the Cats or something.

Yes, unfortunately I used pants in my title unaware that Duped held copyrights to that word in perpetuity throughout the universe.

Good job, Duped. Way to pick 'em! Although, since I picked the UK/UAB upset, I think I should be declared supreme doughnut of the Final Four.

You're definitely supreme doughnut of the Final Four in my book. I would guess no more than five people on Earth picked that game right.

I guess the Cats always have next year... :hanky:

I had GTech and UConn in my finalk four pool at my school, needless to say I'm very excited about my chances of winning.

    GO Conn!

What were the records like in the OTF pool? I never saw it posted, so I never jumped in. I'm 44-18 right now, but I'm not sure what that translates into for points. I've got Connecticut as the champs, so I've still got a shot to pick up one more win.

    I'm curious. Heh.

Scoring worked on correct picks and when you made them. In the first round, each correct pick was worth 10 points. In the second, 20. Third, 40. Fourth, 80. Fifth, 120 and the final 160. So even if you didn't get a lot of picks right, if you get one good one, that can make or break you. Look at me. :D

    Records:

Duped 830 points, 41 total correct picks
    AluminumKnight 780, 39
    Mac 780, 41
    cougar 710, 36
    Rafty 620, 34
    gismo 620, 35
Central Cocky (don't know who this is) 560, 40
    D2netDad 560, 30
    Xoranix 510, 36

Heh, I should have gotten in so I'd have bragging rights.

I'd be 970, 44 with the chance to become 1130, 45 if UConn wins.

    Damn my sloth!!

Play Game = Correct (Point Value?)
    Round of 32 = 25 correct
    Sweet Sixteen = 9 correct
    Elite Eight = 4
    Final Four = 4
    Championship = 1
    Winner = GT

Would have been 43 correct with a 99% shot at 44.

Assuming I did the calculating right, 10 points in the first round = 10 points for each team you picked to get to the 2nd round and so on.
    I would have had 250 + 180 + 160 + 320 + 120 = 1230. with a 99% shot at 1390.

Xavier shot me in the foot as did Michigan State and UAB, had Xavier losing in the first round. Michigan State going to the Sweet Sixteen, and UAB didn't make it out of the First Round in my Brackett. Having UNC going to the Elite Eight didn't help much either.
