'Film(s) of the week' thread (20/06/05)

    Here we go again...

Well I finally got round to seeing Revenge of the Sith, and as everyone knows, it's good! Not as good as some people seem to think though...
I've heard people saying it's better than the origonal 3. Well they are WRONG! It's good, but not that good.

    I also watched...
Bad Boys II - ok film, bit :cheesy: at the end.
Shaun of the Dead - Funny as hell.
Sin City - Again! In one word... Stunning.
Dodge Ball - Really funny too.
Team America - Hadn't watched it for a few weeks so had to have a dose.

    Edit : Oh yeah and...
Heat - Classic film with two of my favorite actors in it. I'd forgotten how long it was (bit of a late night that night!).

So what have you seen this week?

    Regards,
    KnightFall

Nothing at all...... I couldn't find the time!

I hope to see Madagascar this week though.

Have you seen Sin City on a large screen now? Better isn't it?

The last part of Bad Boys 2: From the north-west-shore of Cuba (probably just south of Florida) through one big slum into Guantanamo Bay, in 15 minutes! !

Dodgeball. Cool movie, Vince Vaughn is great!

    David.

I watch Sin City at home again. Didn't have time to go to the cinema (it's quite a drive from me).

I will get there though, probably watch Star Wars while I'm there too...

after way too long of not doing much other than playing the un-namable, the other night i decided that i fancied something a bit thought provoking. So i dug out City of God. Man, that's a good film.

I cranked out starship troopers last night. I still really love that movie... even though it gets cheesier and cheesier the older I get.

    It's a classic!

"Rico! You know what to do!" - " Yes Sir!"

    Makes me laugh every time!

Watched Kingdom of Heaven this week. Was pretty good.

Also watched a bit of Beverly Hills Cop when it was on, another good laugh.

But film of the week has to be Battle Royal, watched it for the xxxth time today :p

    "Hey you guys!"

Goonies is a classic! My housemate bought it on DVD recently. I'd forgotten how good it was till I saw it again.

It pisses me off that I still don't have time to go see Sin City, even though it's one of my favourite comic books of all time.
    I saw this week

Equilibrium - Amazing movie. Much better than Matrix if you ask me.
Transformers the Movie - Amazing. Go see it now!
Ong-Bak the Thai warrior - Not much of a plot but the fighting! Jesus! And there were almost no special effects, all the moves were done by the actor himself.
Mr and Mrs Smith - Amusing and enjoyable movie made better by the pure hotness that is Angelina.

gosford park - interesting but kinda different :F
kingdom of heaven - great battle scenes but thats it really. it was light stuff so it was enjoyable but nothing really stuck out. basically they just banged each others heads together for the entire movie

Are you a big TransFan? My brother and I recently bought all the available seasons on DVD. I have to say, the quality of the show just plummeted right after the movie. Near the end, the animation was horrible, the writing was dreadful.

well I was a fan in the 80s, I wouldn't spend the $ on the tv show though, too many other worthy candidates like Danger Mouse or Knight Rider, so my transformers priorities are lower if that answers your question
